About this tournament
2 rounds of play
WAIT LIST ONLY.
A player who tells me in advance that he will be a no-show must choose in advance to pick up his player pack or sell his spot to the next Wait List player. If someone does bow out and is willing to give up his spot, the next Wait List player may buy the spot by paying him the $25 fee. If there is a no-show who does not contact me in advance, I will sell that spot for $25 to the next Wait List player, all of which will go to the Druid Hill Fund.
So far, wait list inquirers include Sean Reichert, Glen Hatfield and Rob Smith, in that order. Wait List people must be present by 9:30 a.m.
Otherwise, if there aren't any no-shows, a player may enter by paying $25 and borrowing an Ace Race disc from another player (if willing). No player pack will be given to the ad hoc player, but he/she will be eligible in all other respects. If you can't borrow an Ace Race disc, your $25 will be refunded.
There will be no refunds for straight-up no-shows..
Format
Two rounds of 18 holes, one throw per hole per player.
Course layout
Holes are generally between 120 and 150 feet.
Entry fee
$25
Player package
A $52 value! The 2015 player pack is here:
http://discgolfacerace.com/downloads/2015_pp_lg.jpg.
All included with your entry fee! (See Wait List exceptions.)
Rules of play
Players are required to use the player package discs, and only these discs. If a disc is lost, the player has the option of using the second disc from the package. Only one throw per player per hole. All players should have their own scorecards and mark "A" for aces (a hole-in-one) and "M" for holes on which they hit metal (chains and above).
After all players in the group have thrown, discs are picked up and the group moves directly to the next tee. Players keep their scorecards for round two, using the next line on the card to record the round.
The Discraft Ace Race is fun for everyone.
The player with the most aces after 36 holes is declared the winner. In case of ties, the number of metal hits is used as a tie breaker. If a tie persists, a closest to the pin contest is then used to determine the event winner.
Prize package
Top 3 will receive prizes.
