About this tournament
1 round of play
This is the first annual Disc Golf tournament, dedicated to the memory of our friend Dave Peritz. Dave passed away suddenly in a fire last summer. He was an avid disc golfer along with many other hobbies. He introduced many of us to the game that we all love. This tournament is an unsanctioned event that will have six different categories, depending on the number of people signing up. Because we will have season players to absolute beginners, the categories are not typical. The higher tiered categories will have higher tiered prizes. At this point, the purses are going to be determined based on how many players we get. There will be many raffles as well as several closest to the pin holes that will also have prizes. The Tournament begins at 10 AM and concludes after the first round is done. There will be a barbecue lunch provided. It will also be BYOB/B. Beginners division is for 2 people either male/male or female/female or male/female that have not played much and are below amateur status.
MA1 is mixed team that is experienced in Amateur play and plays competitively weekly.
MA2 is mixed team less experienced Amateur that plays non sanctioned events and demonstrates some skills that are below MA1.
MA3 is mixed teams that may have some beginner skills or a team that has one player with higher skills but have not played tournament play and play recreation disc golf.
