About this tournament

Welcome to the 2025 edition of Disctoberfest! This year, we are changing it up from being a full course tournament to a mini course tournament hosted at Ritual Brewing Company!
What is the mini course? Simply put, we are building a 9-hole layout in the back lot with all of the holes at putting distance. If you haven't seen it before, it is the same format we use for Thursday Night Putting league at Ritual.
Format: Each player will need 2 putters and a mini. Each player putts both discs and completes the holes by playing both discs. Each hole will be a par 3, so if you make your first putt with your first disc but miss the putt with your second, then you would putt your second disc from where it lies. If you make it., your score for that hole would be a 3. I'll post a video explaining how to score.
Rounds and playoffs:
Everyone will play 3 rounds of 9 holes each round. Divisions will be put into A pool or B pool. When one pool is playing, the other is on break. When a pool finishes, the other pool starts.
After the rounds are completed, the minimum top 30% (plus ties) in each division will move onto the final 9 playoff round. This round will be filmed and livestreamed. Scores after this round will determine the winners!
Hot Round Prizes: After each round, the player who shoots the best score for their division will win the Hot Round payout. Basically, if you have two bad rounds, you can still shoot the hot round for the last one and win some cash! No hot round for the playoffs.
Divisions:
Mixed Advanced (MA): This is division is for anyone. If you consistently make putts from 30 feet, this is for you. Any division can play MA.
Women's Advanced (FA): For our top women players. Same recommendations for MA, but ladies only.
Mixed Beginner (MB): This is for our newer players who may not be as consistent with their putting, but are learning and want to have fun.
Female Beginner (FB): Same as MB, but for ladies only.
If you have questions on what division you should play, feel free to reach out. Don't be a sandbagger!
Cost Breakdown:
Even though this isn't a PDGA sanctioned event, we still like to do a cost breakdown per player)
$1 TD fee (supplies cost)
$1 per round ($3 total) to the hot round fund.
Rest goes to the payouts ($16 for Advanced, $6 for beginners).
Payouts and Prizes:
Top 30% in each division will receive payouts using the PDGA Payout Calculator.
The winner of each division will receive a trophy. Additional trophies will be awarded based on the number of players in the division.

Trees or Chains Disc Golf is responsible for all refunds and cancellations. Last day for a refund will be September 27 at 7 pm.
