Come one, come all, to this free event and learn the basics of Disc Golf from the pros. No equipment needed. Learn and practice different kinds of throws, understand the three basic types of discs and what makes them different from frisbees, and also have fun solving and sharing a Destination Imagination Instant Challenge or two, all outdoors at beautiful Centennial Park in Cortez.

Free Disc for the first 50 participants to register!
Free gift bag with t-shirt, pin, and other items for all registered participants. Registration is very highly recommended but not required - drop-ins welcome!!
Home-made, up-cycled-type hats and costumes encouraged but not required.
Introductory Sessions begin each hour from 10AM through 2PM.
Snacks provided free of charge.

This event is sponsored by the City of Cortez and the Cortez Retail Enhancement Association to support Destination Imagination of Southwest Colorado (DI), a unique educational opportunity hosted by the San Juan Board of Cooperative Educational Services. DI combines creativity, problem solving, and teamwork with science, technology and the arts - just like Disc Golf!

This open event hopes to introduce this fun, easily accessible sport to our DI community, celebrating our students, families, participants, volunteers, and sponsors as we go!
