About this tournament

Discraft presents The Open at Belton is excited to be on the DGPT Silver Series tour for the second consecutive year! We are extremely pleased to welcome onboard our new flagship sponsor, the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. Go Cru! In addition, the City of Belton has been an amazing partner in building the course and tournament and we thank them tremendously. Plus a huge shout out goes to our presenting sponsor Discraft for an 8th consecutive year. And, of course, thank you all for competing in this event and for making The Open at Belton DGPT weekend possible.

Our Complete Attention
We have separated our Age Protected & AM players into another weekend (ProAm Feb. 26-27) so we will be able to focus complete attention on the DGPT weekend and all of you.

The Open Course at Heritage Park
The course will have some slight modifications from last year; all of which can be seen starting January 30 on our Caddie Guide at www.TheOpenDGC.com. We anticipate these changes – along with a longer period between tee times – will alleviate most of the back-up on hole 13.

The Unicorn
Our third designed green - The Unicorn - will be added to Hole 6. It is designed to give you an opportunity for a birdie (or better!) from longer distance with creative approach shots such as rollers, scoobers, or skip shots. Enjoy practicing that one.

RVs and Vans
All large vehicles will again be parked adjacent to the warm-up area in the center of the course, so please arrive early before your tee time to be piloted there.

Cart Shuttle
There will be a constant cart shuttle back and forth from the warm-up area to Hole 1 for your tee time. Please keep all warm-up activity at the designated area.

Reserved Parking Spots.
In the main parking lot there will a number of spaces marked reserved for our VIP sponsors. Please do not take those spots. Thank you!

Hungry?
There will be food truck(s) each day at various locations around the course.

Gotta Go?
There will be plenty or restrooms along the course.

Fans
As many of you know, The Open Course at Heritage Park has the capacity for thousands of spectators. While we don't expect quite that many, we will be aggressively pre-sell tickets through various forums. In addition, all of our ProAm (Feb 26-27) competitors will be receiving tickets as part of their players pack. So we expect a good sized gallery.

Ace Pool
We have an FPO / MPO ace pool carry over from 2021 of $670. So if you register here be sure to get in on that. If you are a DGPT Tour Pass player you will have several opportunities on-site at the course to get added to the Ace Pool. See our staff at Hole 1 to sign up. You will also be reminded by the starter immediately before your fist round. So pack a fiver ($5) and have it handy. It could be worth over $1000.

Check in here, our web site or our Facebook page, The Open at Belton, for occasionally updates. Time imperative and critically important info will be sent to you by email, so be sure to read those.

See you in March-- that's it for now! 1/10/22 5:20 pm CST
