I want to welcome everyone to the Desert Oasis Open. This is our inaugural year and plan on doing this every year. Thank you all for signing up and coming out to the beautiful Fountain Hills Disc Golf course! I wanted this event to be fun for everyone with the least confusion as possible. We will be teeing off at Hole 1 by the Veterans Memorial and check-in and tournament headquarters will be located there! All players are responsible for knowing the course and PDGA RULES!!
General course rules: sidewalks & beyond are OB, Ramadas(pavilions) are OB, concrete attached to sidewalks is OB, planter boxes & curbing are OB, lake surrounded by water is OB, wall on 1 & is safe (protruding part of wall is OB), road/curb is OB. City Park Ordinance: No smoking or vaping in the park.
PLEASE HELP KEEP NON DISC GOLFERS OFF THE CORSE BY KINDLY MENTIONING THAT WE HAVE RENTED THE COURSE FOR THE WEEKEND
THERE WILL BE 2 DIFFERENT LAYOUTS FOR THIS EVENT.
MOST AMATEURS WILL PLAY SHORT PIN PLACEMENTS AND AM TEE ON 1
EVERYONE PLAYS PIN ON HOLE 1 NEXT TO WATER
ALL OF THE OTHER HOLES ARE SELF EXPLANATORY.
HOLE 9 TEE FOR EVERYONE IS THE FULL ROUND TEE THAT DOESNT TOUCH SIDEWALK. HOLE 9 HAS 2 PIN PLACEMENTS. THE SHORT ONE IS UNDER TREE FOR ALL DIVISIONS EXCEPT MPO MP40 MP50 MA1 MA40 . THEY WILL PLAY PIN PLACEMENT PAST TREES IN OPEN FIELD.
There is a half circle tee pad on HOLE 9 that is not used for this event
HOLES 10 AND 11 HAVE PINS STRAIGHT IN FRONT OF TEES THAT ARE NOT NEXT TO WATER FOR DIVISIONS FOR OTHER THAN MPO MP40 MP50 MA1 MA40
HOLES 10 AND 11 HAVE PINS DOWN BY THE WATERS EDGE, ON THE TIP OF THE PENINSULA
WHICH ARE THE LONG PINS FOR DIVISIONS BELOW.
HOLE 20 HAS A SHORT PIN PLACEMENT AND A LONG.
