About this tournament

The much beloved "Night Flights" are back for 2025! These PDGA C Tier 1 rounders are a fan favorite around the Greater Cincinnati area.
We just completed the Spring session, and it was sort of a trial run. We found that Thursday nights drew better than Friday nights. So this Summer Session #1 will be primarily Thursday nights. In the fall when events slow down, we will probably to the mixture of Thursday and Friday nights!
We will do a points race for each division. If you mix divisions, your points only accumulate for those specific divisions. You cannot combine. Players have to participate in at least 3 of the 8 to be eligible for the end of session award.
This session will run from end of May to the end of July.
We will tentatively do the following schedule. We will publish them one week out weather forecast permitting. If it is a rainout, we will not schedule the event, or if the event has less than 15 players. These events will tee off 6-615p depending on daylight.
Summer Session - (tentative schedule that could change due to circumstances/availability)
5/29 (Thurs) - Vineyard
5/30 (Fri) - Lincoln Ridge
6/12 (Thurs) - Winton Woods
6/13 (Friday) - Woodland Mound
6/26 (Thurs) - Boone Woods
7/3 (Thurs) - Vineyard
7/17 (Thurs) - Lincoln Ridge
7/24 (Thurs) - Winton Woods
7/31 (Thurs) - Boone Woods
These tournaments will be a PDGA C-Tier 1 rounders with a shotgun start. We are capping the field at 48 players. This is good for pace of play, and casuals who are on the course as well. Depending on the course we may add more, but 48 is where we are going to start with as a full field. If you want in, get in, don't wait until Friday afternoon.
Last year we toyed around with an ACE fund carry over. We are going to do it again. If an ACE isn't hit, it moves to the next week of the series with no throw off. At one point last year, the ACE fund was a multi week carry over. As that happens, again like I posted above, you need to sign up as soon as you know you want to play. These are wildly popular events, and while a traditional weekend event has a 72 player field, these do not. If there is no ACE hit the last week of the series, we will donate it to the UC Discats.
There must be at least 3 players in a division, unless otherwise approved by TD's. We will move/consolidate as needed. With low numbers, please consider trying to join a division, and not fly solo if you qualify for a division with other players and your rating is comparable. Thanks! There must be at least 2 players in a division to earn a winners bag tag.
For those of you who are weekly regulars, we will try to run a points standings system, and crown a division winner at the end of the session. It really just depends on numbers. To qualify for the end of session winner, you must have played in at least half the events.
The cost for all divisions will be $20. You must preregister like a traditional weekend event. There is a $3 optional ACE fund. Passthrough PDGA fees are $3 PDGA and $2 TD fees. The payouts will be small, but the fun and experience will be HUGE!
These events are designed to be efficient and cost friendly. AM's will compete for Crossover Cash that they can exchange for disc golf merchandise the same day of the event. There will not be any carry over. All Open players will be paid via PayPal.
An email will be sent out to all players the day prior to the event.
