About this tournament

Crossover is all about being different. So here we are with another "new" tournament format. This will be a "Potluck BYOP. The location will be Cedar Grove in Sunman, Indiana this year. This new tradition event will be a quality doubles tournament you've come to expect from Crossover Disc Golf! And we are sure it will be an instant hit.
Who doesn't like throwing discs, and then eating afterwards? Every team will be responsible for bringing sides to share. Don't be the team to just bring a bag of chips. Cheryl and Josh will be grilling the meats and providing drinks. Remember it is potluck, so there might be 4 sides of green beans.
This event will be on Monday 9/5/2021. It will be a 2 round, BYOP tournament. The cost is $40 per team ($20 per player).
The day will look like this:
9-930a - Player Check in
9:45a - Tee Off - Rounds 1 and 2
@1p - Prizes and food
This event will be a little different than our others. When we tee off at 945a, the first round of 20 holes will be "best disc" format. When you get back to your starting hole, you will then play the 2nd round immediately and play "alternate throw" format. So you will be playing 40 holes in a row. Don't worry, you will survive!
This is supposed to be a fun event, so there is no divisions. Wait, what? Yes, you read that correctly. At the end of the rounds, when it is time for prizes and before the potluck dinner, teams will be randomly grouped together in a random draw format. Their scores will be combined to determine the winners.
Based on a full field, the payouts will go like this. We are capping this event at 40 players (20 teams).
1st place - $50 a person (the best score from the random draw potluck teams)
2nd place - $40 a person
3rd place - $30 a person
*The overall best score from a single team, will be rewarded as well
The $40 per team entry fee goes includes all of the following:
- lunch
- ACE fund (throw off if not hit)
- CTP on every hole
- payouts
