About this tournament
1 round of play
Ladies and Gentlemen, we are back for year 2 of holiday chaos at County Home. We will be playing a best shot quads tournament with some classic and new Hellraiser twists. So, be ready to suffer for a good cause as we will be donating all proceeds once again to the Cockeysville Middle School Food Pantry.
There will be a morning and afternoon session for this tournament on Saturday & Sunday, with trophies for the winner of each division for all sessions. You can enter in any and all of the events, even with a different team each time if you would like. The overall best scoring team for each division will be put on the board that will be used for the event every year.
With four sessions, this year we are giving each player options to select their player pack item for each entry. You will get to choose from a tournament stamped disc, beanie, long sleeve shirt, or a thermos/water bottle. Orders will be going in approximately a month in advance, so I cannot guarantee your preferences with signups in December.
Each player is also required to bring some canned food as we will be gathering donations for a local Baltimore County food pantry as part of this charity event.
For the chaos/twist you can expect the course to play a lot different than normal! Instead of the player friendly course you know and love our staff will be transforming it for revenge. There will be extra OB, mandos that make no sense, the occasional forced carry, and even a marksman basket. It will be a fun challenge where even par will give you bragging rights as a team. So, grab your friend/s, make a team and come ready for a day of fun!
This year, we will have some extra fund-raising options and enabled the old ones in DGS as well for streamlining the experience. For example, you can donate for your mulligans when you sign up or onsite. We also have the new Santa's Second Chance Discs available for use during the associated round for extra scoring chances. For the doubles, we are offering an extra charity option called "King's Choice" since it was David King's idea. This will enable a team to make a $1 donation in order to use the second-best shot of their playing partner card off of the tee instead of theirs. We are hoping this adds some extra fun as well as helping us to better hit our $5K+ donation goal for the food pantry.
Westside/Trilogy/House of Discs is also hooking us up by donating a marksman basket for us to use during the event. This will be a special give away at the end of the event as well. For a $5 donation for 2 throws, we will be doing a CTP after each session where the 5 closest will be entered into a drawing to win the basket which our tournament staff will sign in advance of the havoc it will wreak while being elevated on Hole 12. Additional prizes to each session's closest throwers as well!
We plan on rain or shine, but if the weather is truly dangerous for play/travel we will host this event on January 3rd.
