About this tournament

Welcome to the first MobTown Throwdown! We're excited to be hosting a college disc golf regional qualifier at the University of South Alabama. We will be awarding 1 bid to the national championship this year!

The cost is $25/player, and your entry will grant you
- Player's pack worth $33
- Trophies for individual and team champions

Men will compete in teams of 4, and women will compete in teams of 2. For any teams with an odd number of players, whether it be substitutes or too few players, contact us. The first round will consist of Singles, where the score from all team members will be averaged together and added to the teams total score. The second round will consist of Team Doubles for men and Best Shot Doubles for women. Check the college disc golf website for more information on how to play team doubles.

There are three divisions: Men's A (MPO), Men's B (MA1) and Women's (FPO). While there are multiple divisions ONLY THE MEN'S A DIVISION WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP BID. You are more than welcome to register multiple teams for either the same or different divisions. You are also welcome to register alumni teams, however, they will not be eligible for the CDGNC bid.

The tee assignments are as follows:
Men's A; USA Blue (tournament layout)
Men's B: USA White (tournament layout)
Women's: USA White (tournament layout)

Be aware that the Blue tees are meant for advanced players and may not be friendly to newer players. The "tournament layout" consists of added OBs and a temporary hole.

Check-in: 7 AM - 8 AM
Players Meeting: 8:30 AM
First Round (Singles): 9:00 AM
Second Round (Team Doubles): One hour after the final scorecard from the first round is turned in

Players are required to be members of College Disc Golf to compete in CDG events for the 2021-2022 Season. Players can sign up on and find more information there. Teams that compete with non-members will be disqualified from the 2022 CDGNC and DI for 2023. Any bids they earn at this event will be vacated and the bids will be awarded to the next highest placing team that is eligible.

If you plan to attend but cannot currently register, please contact us so we can plan accordingly. Also, any questions or concerns should be directed to the tournament staff, whose information can be found on this page.

We look forward to seeing you at the Inaugural MobTown Throwdown!
