Two days of stuffing your face with dressing and cranberry sauce, and visiting relatives in close quarters got your giblets in a twist? Put down that cold turkey sammich and come play!
Cold Turkey Classic - The Redux, presented by Flying Texan Disc Sports, is a 1-day, 2-rounds of 21 holes, PDGA C-Tier Pro/Am event at Monte Bella Park in Brownsville, TX, on Saturday November 27, 2021. A shotgun start for round 1 will follow a players meeting at 9 a.m. sharp. Round 2 will start 90 minutes after the last card is turned in for round 1. MPO and MA1 players will play Blue/Long tees where provided, all other divisions will only play the White/Short tees.
All Flying Texan events will benefit a charity serving the local community. On a holiday when many of us consume mass amounts of food while giving thanks for what we have, the CTC will raise food AND cash for the Food Bank of the RGV, to feed folks who may have less to be thankful for. Stay tuned regarding ways we plan to do that, including a short run stamp on premium plastic that will send proceeds to our charity, and certain donation amounts of canned goods that will equal a certificate for $$ in merch!
The $10 PDGA non-member fee will be WAIVED for all Women and Junior divisions (all others must have a current membership, or pay the standard $10 fee at registration). There will be a players pack for pre-registered Ams. Pros and Ams who register before the tshirt deadline (Nov 15th,12 a.m.) will receive a free tournament shirt. Be sure to check the box to select your size. MPO and FPO champions will receive a trophy in addition to their payout. There will be added cash across the Pro divisions and added prizes to the Am side. If there are spots open after online registration closes on Nov 22nd, and you wish to play, email maadiscgolf@gmail through Wednesday Nov. 24th (NOT on Thanksgiving Day) and we'll do our best to accomodate you (though you might not get a tourney shirt).
