Clash at the Columns II
About this tournament
It's time for the second ever Clash at the Columns presented by the Mizzou Disc Golf Club! This event is a conference event and thus doesn't have any bids but is a part of the possible events required in order to go to the College Disc Golf National Championships in Marion, NC!
This year, Clash at the Columns will challenge each team in every way imaginable with the deep woods of JC Miller and the long shots presented at The Dam at Binder Lake Park. Once your team has traversed these courses in singles, you still have all of your abilities challenged in collegiate doubles at the world-famous Harmony Bends featured on the Disc Golf Pro Tour! This course will force technical shots, dangerous putts, and has some of the most fantastic views a disc golf course can offer running along the Harmony and Perche creeks.
Players will be invited out on Friday night before the tournament to a players' party at Bur Oak Brewing Company in Columbia, MO which will feature food, soda, and putting! We will be putting together a putting game for teams to enter into if they so choose with a free and a buy in division.
Then teams will make their way out to Jeff City on Saturday for our singles event and return back to Columbia on Sunday for doubles. We recommend having a place to stay in Columbia as the time change happens Saturday night and will make tee times seem an hour earlier, so staying in Jeff may make this harder for your team.
Note: Men's teams need 4 players, Women's only 2. DGScene does not allow for changing of this so please only put two women on your team and then the other two slots can be filled with Not Applicable, but I will be updating field size as need be so we can accept a total of 100 players this year.
Fields:
Men's D1 will play longs at JC Miller and blue pads at Harmony Bends
Men's D2 will play longs at JC Miller and white pads at Harmony Bends
Men's D3 and Women's D1 will play shorts at JC Miller and red pads at Harmony Bends
If winter weather hits like last year, we may not be able to traverse the dangerous hillsides at Harmony Bends. If this happens a backup course will be announced.
