About this tournament
1 round of play
It's good to be The Chump!
Welcome to the first annual Amateur Only "Chump of the Bump" endurance style Disc Golf Tournament!
It takes good golf to win Brandywine shorts, great golf to win Brandywine longs, and excellent golf to win the Brandywine Safari, but it takes phenomenal skill and endurance to be considered the Chump and win over the course of all three layouts in one day!
The Chump of the Bump tournament will consist of three rounds of disc golf over the course of one day, starting with Brandywine Shorts immediately followed by Brandywine longs followed by a lunch break, and finishing up with a never before seen 15 hole Brandywine Safari layout.
There will be no animals involved in this safari, so for those unfamiliar a safari layout is a format of disc golf where players participate in a custom designed layout using the already established tee pads and baskets. For example, Hole 1 may be playing from hole 1's tee pad to 3's basket. Distances and pars will be set, but to add some more challenge to the mix, the safari layout will only be released two weeks before the tournament is set to take place, leaving minimal time to practice.
The throwing will begin as the sun is just coming up and finish as the sun is going down, with the lowest cumulative score over 3 rounds being crowned the Chump of each division. Though Delaware and Brandywine has allowed the opening of DG events to a larger field, due to the length of the tournament and schematics for the safari round, this tournament will remain capped at 56 participants.
Optional: $1 Ace pot and $1 Bonus CTP, you do not need to buy into this CTP pot to be included in the normal CTP's
Players packs will include:
1 Custom stamped disc
1 $5 coupon for Prodigy Discs
1 Event bag
1 Microfiber Disc Golf Towel
1 Mini Marker
1 Pencil
Prizes for winners will be Tournament Stamped Discs and Gift Cards to Infinite Discs.
Chris Jamison of Dirty Discs and Dyes will be bringing along some retail and dyed discs as well!
