About this tournament
1 round of play
This is a doubles tournament being held at Lake Township Park in Bridgman, Michigan.
Bring your own partner. If you do not see a division you like, please let me know. As long as we get 3 teams for a division we will make it happen. If you do not have a partner and still wish to participate, let me know, we will find a way to get you a partner.
If you would like to donate to this cause but do not wish to participate, also let me know. I will work with anyone that is trying to help the cause.
THIS IS A CHARITY FUNDRAISING EVENT!!! Am divisions will be trophy only. Pro divisions will only have 20% of all entry fees as payouts.
Any and all donations are welcome, as those that are not cash donations (ie, discs, towels, baskets, bags and other items) will be raffled off at the event.
Lunch will be provided in between rounds, and a pavilion with a fireplace will be in use.
About this cause
Katie Vigansky is a proud wife of Derick Vigansky and mother of 3 boys. Landon age 8, Remington age 6, and Addison age 4. This summer, while all the madness of covid 19 was going on, Katie started feeling ill. With symptoms not quite adding up to something that doctors could diagnose, it was starting to wear on Katie and her family. Then something completely shocking took its grip on the entire family, Katie was diagnosed with Leukemia. While going through multiple hospital visits since, it has been a trying time for the family, and even more with the medical bills rolling in.
What we are planning to do.
With the struggle of one parent being in and out of hospitals, and the other doing his best to keep the bills paid, the three boys have been through rough times they dont understand. All proceeds of this tournament are going to giving not only these 3 boys, but the entire family the Christmas they deserve. This is one diagnoses that changes every day lives completely, and we are going to do our best to make it one day that this family can have to enjoy each other without the stress of that diagnosis.
