The Summer Sizzler this year will be a little different than in years past. Because the Spring Fling was not able to run. This year for women the event will be a 1-day event with 2 rounds taking place on Saturday the 7th, in order to allow players to compete in the Women's Global Event the following day. The rest of the field will play a 2-day event starting with 2 rounds on Saturday and 1 round on Sunday.

Amateur players will be merched out by Platform Discs and professionals will receive cash as per usual. Amateur player packs will be minimal in order to increase the prizes for the winners, that being said all amateurs will receive a GOAT towel as their players pack item. For the Pros, we are working hard to accumulate a huge added cash prize but currently, we can only promise $1500 but that is the minimum and I'm certain it will go higher.

The Sizzler is also proud to be a part of the Ontario Club Championship which means that if you win your division you can win points for your local club. Whoever has the most points at the end of the year will win the Golden Basket that will be displayed at the winning club for everyone to see. There is also going to be a special Ace hole with a chance to win a brand new Pound disc golf bag full of beer if you ace it, this prize will be graciously donated by 4 Fathers Brewing Co. (must be 18+ to win).

If there is a waitlist, spots in divisions that have not filled will be given to the waitlisted players in other divisions 48 hours after the registration goes live.

Layouts/Schedule

The course will feature the addition of 2 holes bumping it up from an 18 hole layout to a 20 hole layout. For players playing from the longs there will also be 2 teepad changes, 8 teepad will be pushed a bit down the pathway between holes 7 and 8 and 12 teepad will be put closer to the top of the stairs after 11 with OB added in front of the teepad. 7 will play as an island hole with a dropzone for the long and short layout. These are just brief descriptions and once the caddy book/ OB guide is finished it will show more detail.

Red will be the only division playing 1 round on Saturday and 2 rounds on Sunday in order to fit everyone else in on Saturday before it gets too dark.
