About this tournament

Hi Everyone- Thank you so much for joining our Chains for Change Halifax Event. This promises to be a fun and exciting day of fun, inclusivity, and community building. Queer Disc Golf is proud to announce this event in collaboration with the Halifax Sexual Health Centre, Chain Reaction Disc Golf, and Hammond Plains.

We will be doing a shotgun start- 9:30am sign in 10am start. It will be a best shot doubles (classic charity format). Feel free to register as a team- but if you're needing a partner no worries. We will pair you up! Sign up as a solo and make a note on the registration and we can make note! All folks are welcome to come and play- you don't need to be a member of the LGBTQ community- just supportive, and we welcome all allies and those in support with open arms.

We will be convening at the Board Room
Game cafe afterwards for player awards, raffle, and an overall great time.

We have created three divisions - Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. (Beginner is Sub 800) Intermediate (800-899) and advanced 900 plus. It will be a best shot doubles with lots of fun ways to win prizes regardless of whether you "win" or "lose". Each player will receive a $10 Chain Reaction Gift Card with their twenty dollar entry in addition to some other goodies and prizes.

All proceeds from this event will be directly allocated to Halifax Sexual Health Centre and Queer Disc Golf. Queer Disc Golf is a not for profit established in 2023 that supports LGBTQ folx within the game, while also raising money for local LGBTQ charities and Not for Profits. Last year Queer Disc Golf raised over $22,000 dollars, with 90% being donated directly to LGBTQ charities and initiatives.

The Halifax Sexual Health Centre (HSHC) has been serving Halifax since 1970. Our health services and resources are sex positive, pro-choice, inclusive, and non-judgemental.

HSHC is a member-centre of Sexual Health Nova Scotia.

Thank you and we are so excited to share the day with you.
