Chain Bomber Madness!
The Chain Bombers are all about providing innovative ways to enjoy disc golf, both casually and competitively, and this tournament is sure to fit the bill! We bring you, Chain Bomber Madness, a double elimination, bracket-style, match play doubles tournament!
What does that mean?
You and a partner will register as a team to compete in either our Pro, Am, or Women’s division. You will then be placed into a head to head match up with another team in your division. You and your opponents will schedule a round of golf during the given week and post your scorecard on the Chain Bomber group page. The winner of each match will move on to the next round and the loser will fall to the loser’s side of the bracket. Each week will start a new round and you will be matched up with a new team based on where you sit on the bracket. This goes on until we have our winners! It’s really as simple as that! This is an awesome opportunity to play competitive doubles that fits your schedule! In a 16 team bracket we anticipate this event lasting up to 8 weeks.
Registration, Player’s Packs, and Payout
This event offers Pro, Am, and Women’s divisions! Pros and Women will compete for cash payout while
Amateur players will play for merchandise payout sponsored by Replay Sports Gear! All Am players will receive a player’s pack! Because we are using a bracket format, registration for this event will be limited to 16 teams in each division, for now. We will fill the bracket on a first come first serve basis so be sure to sign up quick! If we don’t reach this number then we will make changes to the bracket in order to accommodate as many players as possible. We don’t anticipate using first round byes, however if necessary they will also be rewarded in the order that teams register. *$3 from each player’s entry will be added to our club fund.
Scheduling Rounds
One of the many unique things about this event is that you will be able to schedule your rounds to fit your busy lifestyle. Each round of the bracket will take place over a week’s time; Week 1 will be Feb 5th-Feb 11th and week 2’s matchups will be posted on Feb 12th. You, your partner, and your opponents will need to find a time to play your match during the given week. Be sure to consider this when choosing your partner. You may play any course that is on the approved list, see below. Both teams must agree to a time and place. If you are unable to complete your round during the given week one or both teams may be given a loss for the week depending on circumstances. For example, if Team A has been unresponsive all week and Team B has sent them numerous messages with little to no response then Team A will be given to loss and Team B will move on. We realize that this system has a lot of grey area however we want to push the limits of the disc golf world in order to bring you the best events possible. We are prepared to address any unexpected circumstances regarding the scheduling of rounds case by case. Thank you for your understanding.

We are blessed to have a lot of great courses here in the DFW area! However, some of them are not well suited for competitive play, especially doubles. Below you will find a list of courses that have been approved for play in this event. If you would like to play a course that you feel was overlooked please contact me, Kevin Burdick, and we can talk about adding it!
