About this tournament
1 round of play
Format will be single elimination match play. Rounds will be played in 9 hole sets. Those losing in round 1 will have a second chance to win cash through random draw dubs.
Round 1 will be from the reds. The two players paired can agree to start on any hole but must play consecutive holes thereafter. If they cannot agree on a starting hole, you will start on hole 9.
Round 2 will be from whites. Same rules apply for starting hole.
Round 3 will be from blues. Same rules apply for starting hole.
Round 4 (If necessary) will start at 17 and will play blue to gold layout for 9 holes or until tie is broken after 9 holes.
Round 5 (if necessary) Same as layout and rules as round 4 but you will start at hole 8.
How does match play work? You are playing for holes, not strokes. If player A has a 3 on the first hole and player B has a 4. Player A takes the point. (Player A is winning 1-0). On the second hole Player A and B record 4s. The score remains the same. Holes do not carry over. On hole three, player B records a 2 and player A abandons the hole. ( the score is now tied 1-1). You will do this for 9 consecutive holes for each round. In the event of a tie score after 9 holes, it becomes sudden death. The next person to win a hole wins the round and the opposing player is eliminated.
Random draw dubs will be best shot 18 holes. The layout will be white to gold. It will be one round and prizes will be based on finishing order. If there is a tie for first, sudden death will begin on hole 9.
