About this tournament
The Frankfort Disc Golf Association proudly presents the 2023 CAPITAL SAFARI at East Frankfort Park Disc Golf Course on Saturday, October 15, 2023 from 12:00AM to 5:00PM. This is an unsanctioned singles tournament. This will be an all day flex start event with both day of registration or you can preregister to secure your tee time. Tee times will be honored first. We will use DiscGolfScene for all first round signups and payments. Players may “Edit” their registration to change their tee times and division etc. until they start their round.
This year’s Safari Layout includes 18 tracks with 6 new shots for you. This is a fun and challenging disc golf experience that happens only once a year.
FLEX START: 12:00-5:00. Tee times will take precedence over walk-ons. Once 3-4 players are paid and ready, groups may start their round.
ENTRY FEE: $15
ACE POOL: $5
MULLIGANS can be purchased for $1 each. Up to 5 max. Good for 1st round only.
OPTIONAL 2ND ROUND: $10. Start early and begin a second round by 5:00 to better your score (Must rebuy any Mulligans). For 2nd rounds, we will accept Cash, Venmo or PayPal @Frankfortdiscgolf. Last round starts at 5:00.
SCORING: UDisc Live Scoring will be used for this event. Backup scores are encouraged.
PAYOUTS: The top 1 out of every 3 players in each division will be paid in cash or other method. Be sure to leave your correctly spelled PayPal or Venmo username with us at the tent if you expect payout. 100% of round 1 entry fees will go to payouts. 2nd round fees and mulligans will go to course improvements and maintenance costs.
DIVISIONS: OPEN, ADV, INT, REC, NOV, FA.
As always, we will be using the PDGA Tour Standards for Division Rating Limits.

Advanced MA1 (must be <970)
Intermediate MA2 (must be < 935)
Recreational MA3 (must be < 900)
Novice MA4 (must be < 850)
FA (Women Only)
TIES: If all tied players are present, you may organize throw-offs to determine winnings. In lieu of a throw off, award amounts will be split evenly between tying players.
If ace is not hit we will do a random drawing of all players paid in.
Pay no attention to UDisc distances or GPS.

1 - 318’ (Par3) T1 to B3. On or over road is OB.
2 - 236’ (Par3) Flagged Tee in parking lot (near T7) to B4. Pavement is OB.
3B - 210’ (Par 3) Sidewalk to Practice Basket. Drive must make island or go to drop zone with penalty.
4 - 399’ (Par3) T4 to B5 Surrounded by pavement, in dog park is OB. Use spotter to watch for dog walkers entering and exiting the dog park. BE SAFE!
5 - 322’ (Par3) Flagged Tee (on sidewalk by pavilion) to B6. All pavement is OB. All grass and gravel is safe.
6 - 504’ (Par4) T7 to B8.
7 - 260’ (Par3) Long T9 to Long B9. Pavement is OB. Long 9’s Tee Pad is up to the right and behind of 9’s pad.
Use parking lot to get from 9 to 11’s tee and watch for discs going from 18 to 10.
8 - 359’ (Par4) T11 to B12. Re-tee with penalty if disc crosses the mando lines.
9 - 445’ (Par4) Tee A to B13. Road is an OB river. If surrounded by pavement, mark lie where last inbounds with penalty.
10 - 226’ (Par3) Teepad on road to Basket A. On pavement, over fence is OB.
11 - 650’ (Par5) Teepad B to Basket C. Over fences, on or over pavement is OB.
12 - 257’ (Par3) Flagged Teepad (on road) to Basket E. On pavement, on or over walkway is OB. *Use spotter to check for pedestrians in pavillion or on walkway.
13 - 316’ (Par3) Teepad 14 to F: On or over pavement, over fence is OB.
14 - 344’ (Par3) ”Hole G” Tee on corner of sidewalk to Temp Basket. On pavement, Over fences is OB.
15 - 283’ (Par3) T15 to B16. Mando right. If mando is missed, rethrow with penalty. On or in circular walkway plays as a hazard.
16 - 315’ (Par 3) “Long 17” On or over road, on slab is OB. On or inside circular walkway plays as a hazard.
17 - 270’ (Par 3) Tee on green slab to uphill grass island. Pavement is OB. If tee shot goes OB, go to drop zone with penalty. Consequent throws play as regular OB.
18 - 464’ (Par4) T18 to B10. On or right of walkway is OB. Parking lot is OB. Must stay left of walkway to remain inbounds. If OB, throw from where last inbounds.
