Capital Safari 2022
About this tournament
The Frankfort Disc Golf Association proudly presents the 2022 CAPITAL SAFARI at East Frankfort Park Disc Golf Course on Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 9:00AM to 4:00PM. This is an unsanctioned singles tournament. This will be an all day flex start event with both day of registration or you can preregister to secure your tee time. Tee times will be honored first. We will use DiscGolfScene for all first round payments.
This year’s Safari Layout includes 18 unique shots. There are thirteen Par 3 tracks, four long Par 4s and even one 680’ Par 5. Par is 60. We will be using a few temporary teepads and some temporary basket placements to create this course. This year, we’ve cleared the fairways even more to make them truly legit disc golf holes. This is a fun and challenging disc golf experience that happens only once a year.
FLEX START: 9-4:00. Tee times will take precedence over walk-ons. Once 3-4 players are paid and ready, groups may start their round.
ENTRY FEE: $15
ACE POOL: $5
MULLIGANS can be purchased for $1 each. Up to 5 max. Good for 1st round only.
OPTIONAL 2ND ROUND: $10. Start early and play a second round to better your score (Must rebuy any Mulligans). For 2nd rounds, we will accept Cash, Venmo @Frankfortdiscgolf or PayPal to frankfortdiscgolf1 @gmail.com Last round starts at 4:00.
SCORING: UDisc Live Scoring will be used for this event. Backup scores are encouraged.
PAYOUTS: 1 out of every 3 players in each division will be paid in cash. 100% of round 1 entry fees will go to payouts. 2nd round fees and mulligans will go to course improvements.
DIVISIONS: OPEN, ADV, INT, REC, NOV, FA.
As always, we will be using the PDGA Tour Standards for Division Rating Limits.

Advanced MA1 (must be <970)
Intermediate MA2 (must be < 935)
Recreational MA3 (must be < 900)
Novice MA4 (must be < 850)
FA (Women Only)
TIES: If all tied players are present, you may organize throw-offs to determine winnings. In lieu of a throw off, award amounts will be split evenly between tying players.
If ace is not hit we will do a random drawing of all players paid in.
Pay no attention to UDisc distances or GPS.

3 - 399’ (Par3) T4 to B5 Surrounded by pavement, over fence, in dog park is OB. Please use spotter to watch for dog walkers entering and exiting the dog park. BE SAFE.
4 - 322’ (Par3) Flagged Tee (on sidewalk by pavilion) to B6. All pavement is OB. All grass and gravel is safe.
5 - 504’ (Par4) T7 to B8.
6 - 260’ (Par3) Long T9 to Long B9. Pavement is OB. 9’s Long Tee Pad is behind and right of regular 9’s pad.
7 - 311’ (Par4) T10 to 10(S) Pin is right and long of 10B. Over fences, on or over pavement is OB.
8 - 280’ (Par3) (Long 11) Tee on sidewalk to B11 (MANDO is NOT in play)
9 - 480’ (Par4) T12 to B13. Mando right of tree. If missed, throw back around without penalty or go to DZ with penalty. In playground, on or over road is OB. yield to all pedestrians.
10 - 226’ (Par3) Flagged Teepad (on road) to Basket A. Pavement and over fence is OB.
11 - 650’ (Par5) Teepad B to Basket C. Over fences, on or over pavement is OB.
12 - 257’ (Par3) Flagged Teepad (on road) to Basket E. On pavement, on or over walkway is OB. Send spotter to check for pedestrians in pavillion or on walkway.
13 - 280’ (Par3) Teepad A to island green. On pavement, outside of island (left) is OB. If OB on tee shot, go to DZ with penalty. Grass right of road is safe.
14 - 486’ (Par4) T14 to B18. On or over pavement is OB. Mando right near 12’s teepad. If missed, throw from drop zone with penalty.
