We are thrilled to return to the beautiful rolling hills of George Rogers Clark Park for the second year of the Camp Hendon Doubles Classic! Building on the momentum of our successful inaugural event, our goal this year is to raise $1,000 to empower local youth living with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D).
The Mission: Beyond the Diagnosis
Type 1 Diabetes is a relentless, 24/7 condition that requires constant vigilance and management. For many children, the daily burden of blood sugar checks and insulin injections can lead to profound feelings of isolation.
Camp Hendon (the Kentucky Diabetes Camp for Children) provides a vital solution. Our mission is to transform that isolation into a sense of belonging through a supportive, medically supervised community.
At camp, children:
•Master Management: Learn essential skills to take control of their unique diabetes journey.
•Boost Confidence: Build self-esteem by conquering physical challenges and peer interactions.
•Find Connection: Meet others who truly understand the "day-to-day" of life with T1D.
Your Impact
Every registration fee and donation goes directly toward ensuring that financial barriers never stand in the way of a child’s camp experience.
The Goal: $1,000
The Result: Providing "camperships" (scholarships) that give children access to life-changing summer sessions, medical supplies, and expert mentorship.
