CCDGA 2020 Match Play Championship (**multi-week local event**)
About this tournament
This multi-week Match Play tournament kicks off on November 1st and carries through to the end of the 2020 calendar year. Players will be paired with another player from their registered division for a weekly match staring November 1st, 2020, to be completed within that particular week unless special arrangements are made. Players matched together are responsible to determine on which course their 18 hole match will take place. Winners of their respective match advance and move on, losers are moved to the loser bracket. Two losses and you're out of the tournament.

This tournament is specifically for club members of Centre County Disc Golf Association who have been playing in the 2020 CCDGA league, and is not open to players traveling from another club or area.
$5 from each registration fee will be paid out to the top 3 players in each bracket, the other $5 will go toward ongoing course improvements at Harvest Fields.
In the event of an un-even number of player sign-ups and the need for first round byes, a ranking system will be used for ranking based on player scoring during the 2020 league season.

UPDATE:
Thanks to all who signed up for the 2020 CCDGA Match Play Championships! In this inaugural year we had 11 sign up for Beginner/Recreational, and 16 sign up for Intermediate/Advanced. Your participation helped raise an additional $135 for our Harvest Fields improvement funds! Winner payout will be as follows; For Beginner/Recreational, the total prize pool of $55 will be split $30 for first place, $15 for 2nd, $10 for 3rd. For Intermediate/Advanced, the total prize pool of $80 will be split $40 for first place, $25 for 2nd, $15 for 3rd.
The tournament is now off and underway. Please contact your first-round matchup to arrange a time to play your first match this week.
There are some players in the Beginner/Recreational that have a first week bye due to the number of people who signed up. Bracket seeding was done using a combination of scoring and attendance (the better you scored from week to week, averaged with the amount of times you showed up for league resulted in your seed).
