The 2025 Buckeye Classic sponsored by Diley Medical Group
This year the Buckeye Classic will be played at the beautiful, and recently modified, Alum Creek State Park in Galena, Ohio. Even though it is only a C-Tier, there will be added cash for the Pro divisions and over 100% payout for the Am divisions. If everything works out as anticipated, there will be a very generous payout for all divisions.
The field will be limited to 72 players so don't wait to register. There will initially be 36 spots available for the Pro divisions and 36 spots available for the Am divisions (I think I set it up correctly). If one side does not fill by September and there is a waitlist on the other side, any available spots will be filled by those on the waitlist. Any division will fewer than 4 players may be combined with other appropriate divisions at the discretion of the tournament staff.
All divisions will be playing an 18-hole layout each round of the event. We will be playing the new Hole 7 and everyone will skip Hole A (old Hole 10). All divisions will be playing the Red Tees for the first round, and the long basket on Hole 1 will not be played that round. For the afternoon round, divisions playing the Gold or Blue Tees will play to the long basket on Hole 1. The layout each division will be playing for the second round are as follows:
MPO, MP40, MA1: Gold
FPO, FP40, MP50, MA40, MA2: Blue
FP50, FA1, FA40, MA60, FA60, FA2, MA3, FA3, MA4, FA4: Red
The baskets are in their tournament positions and have been since last Tuesday evening. I've also listed the basket positions by hole below.
1(both baskets will be used); 2(right); 3(left); 4(long); 5(left); 6(long); new 7(short); 8(long); 9(only placement); 10(long); 11(left); 12(only placement); 13(right); 14(long); 15(only placement); 16(long); 17(short); 18(right).
