Turner Park Course Rules for the 2026-05-16 Event (UDisc: Event Layout 1)
Generic Rules:
1. Do not ever trespass into metal fenced off areas. Inside them is OB.
2. On any paved street is out of bounds. Beyond any street from in-bounds fairway area is out of bounds.
3. Smooth cement sidewalks adjacent to curbs/streets are OB, unless marked otherwise.
All creek and “pond” water is OB, unless specifically designated otherwise.
Walking trails are not out of bounds. Temporary standing water is not OB.
Tee Pads from other holes are not OB. (But, landing on them is embarrassing.)
4. If you miss one or more “mandos” and end up OB, then the lie for your next shot is determined by the first infraction that occurred. For “Mandos” without painted line and/or flags, use a 5-meter line adjacent to the “Mando”.
5. There is no 2-meter rule at Turner Park.
6. Street Curb Rule: The out of bounds line is defined as the edge of the cement that is adjacent to the main edge of the grass/dirt/etc; not leaves or overgrown grass. Touching leaves or overgrown grass is of no importance. If any portion of a disc resides on the in-bounds side of the defined OB line, then the disc is in bounds. Whenever street curb sections are separated for drainage or driveways, then the OB line may defined as the in-bounds edge of a painted line that spans the separation. If there is no painted line, the group is to estimate it to the best of their ability. When in doubt, error on the side of “in-bounds”.
7. Disc Under Bridge Rule: If a disc is under a bridge and the disc is not considered to be out of bounds, then the disc may be relocated out from under the bridge in a direction that is away from the basket to the nearest safe lie, or to the top of the bridge above the disc, without incurring a penalty stroke. (Use group decision to identify nearest safe lie.)
8. Disc On Bridge Rule: Bridges are considered as in-bounds. If a disc lands on top of a bridge, then it may be played as it lies, regardless of whether it is over water or not. If the lie is unsafe, then see relocation from #7.
9. Some trees in the park have temporary plastic orange fencing around them. If your disc lands inside one of those fenced areas, you may remove it from the fenced area, without penalty, not more than two meters from the fencing material, and in any direction that results in a lie that is no closer to the basket than the original lie.
10. Turner Park Safety Rule: If your disc lies on a steeply sloped bank near a creek, then you may, without penalty, move the disc to the nearest safe lie no closer to the basket. Use group decision to determine the location of the safe lie.
Rules for Holes: [Course Par = 58] *Note: Former holes 4-16 (old layout) are now holes 1-13, in the new layout.
Hole 1 (Long: 501 Ft, +10 Elev, Par 4): [Old Hole 1 tee pad. New basket position.]
There is a “mando” at the first large tree, at the top of the hill on the right. The cement trough at the southeast portion of the fairway is not OB. Across any black plastic bounding the hole’s playing area is OB. Road beyond basket is OB.
Hole 2 (Long: 281 Ft, +14 Elev, Par 3):
The creek (and beyond) that divides the fairways for holes 5 and 10 is OB.
If your tee shot does not make it past the western-most creek in front of the tee pad, then you are OB and must re-tee.
Hole 3 (Long: 351 Ft, +9 Elev, Par 3):
The old course “mando” has been removed. OB is the paved street, or across that street from the tee pad.
Hole 4 (Long: 200 Ft, -6 Elev, Par 3):
Neither the cement platform in the valley, nor the drainage platform left of the basket, are OB.
The street and beyond, and the fenced areas (behind the basket) are OB.
Hole 5 (Long: 340 Ft, +7 Elev, Par 3):
The fence on the right of the fairway is OB. The street and beyond, at the far left is OB.
The rocks to the right of and behind the basket are OB. The smooth cement slab near the basket is not OB.
Hole 6 (Long: 289 Ft, +27 Elev, Par 3):
The street, to the far north, and beyond is OB. All poured cement material, including associated rock, are OB.
Hole 7 (Medium: 299 Ft, +5 Elev, Par 3):
The creek (on the left) and beyond, which divides the fairways for holes 5 and 10 is OB. The creek that is due east of the tee pad and about 30 feet west of the basket is OB. Temporary casual water, if any, on fairway is not OB.
Hole 8 (Short: 219 Ft, +17 Elev, Par 3):
There is a “mando” tree on the right. If you miss it, then you must re-tee. There is no drop zone for this mando.
All roads and beyond are OB, including hole #9’s (old 12’s) in-bounds area. All creeks and beyond are OB.
If your lie is unplayable in the “boggy marsh” area, you may take non-penalized relief at the nearest lie out of the “bog”.
Hole 9 (295 Ft, -5 Elev, Par 3):
See generic rules #7 and #8 for water and bridges. See Generic Rule #10: Special Turner Park Safety Rule.
Wherever there is black construction project plastic, it is an OB line.
Hole 10 (Long: 567 Ft, -8 Elev, Par 4):
Missing the “mando”, located on the right in front of the tee pad, requires a re-tee.
See generic rules #7 and #8 for water and bridges. See Generic Rule #10: Special Turner Park Safety Rule.
Hole 11 (375 Ft, -24 Elev, Par 3):
The street and beyond are OB. (Enjoy the view and please do not throw it into the street.)
Hole 12 (Long: 385 Ft, +21 Elev, Par 3):
The OB areas for this hole are: (1) the ‘Nature Center’ pavilion and any related cement, (2) the circular Texas Star and rock area, bordered by a metal edge-band, (3) the monument, near the Texas Star, and related cement, and (4) the streets and beyond.
Hole 13 (Short: 516 Ft, -13 Elev, Par 4):
There is a mando “V-trunk” tree on the right, to protect the road. The mando edge is the left edge of the “V”.
Also, each of the telephone poles along Tarrant Rd. (the road to the north) is a “mando”. They are intended to protect traffic on Tarrant Rd. The creek is OB. (There may be painted lines that define the OB boundary of the creek areas.)
Hole 14 (Medium: 275 Ft, -39 Elev, Par 3):
The streets and beyond are OB. If painted lines are present, then they define the creek area OB. Otherwise, OB will be the creek itself. The clown’s mouth is a 3-way “mando”. Missing it requires a re-tee. The driveway and adjacent curb are OB. The cement drainage trough is a drop zone for OB tee pad shots. The only way a non-tee pad throw can be made from the island is if the previous shot comes to rest on the top of the island, which includes vertical wall posts. Any shot, not from the tee pad, that lands OB will be spotted where the disc was last in-bounds, excluding flying over the island.
Hole 15 (Medium: 298 Ft, +12 Elev, Par 3):
The streets and beyond are OB. The creek area is OB and is marked with a painted orange line on south side.
If the disc does not come to rest in-bounds across the orange OB line, then use the drop zone at north side of the creek.
(Eventually, this basket position will be elevated. Presently, it is not.)
Hole 16 (Med: 242 Ft, +27 Elev, Par 3):
The street and beyond are OB.
Hole 17 (Med: 269 Ft, +30 Elev, Par 3):
The street and beyond is OB. The equipment pole, to the right and passed the basket, is a “mando”
Hole 18 (Med: 549 Ft, -27 Elev, Par 4):
The street and beyond are OB. There are three “mandos” for this hole: (1) The left of the pair of trees on the right side of the fairway near the road, (2) the tree near hole 11’s basket and 12’s tee pad (left side of fairway), and (3) the large tree about 50 feet to the west of the basket (right side of fairway). The temporary black plastic, between the medium and long positions also denotes an OB line.

Players Meeting: 8:15 AM
Shotgun Start: 8:30 AM
