About this tournament

Almost two years ago, a Lancaster disc golfer, Brett Smith, was killed during an attempted robbery.
In place of a "standard" memorial tournament, we want to do something to really bring people together. When COVID hit, we had a huge influx of players but due to restrictions put in place to keep people safe, they weren’t introduced to the true nature and fun of a disc golf event. We lost a little something then and it hasn’t really come fully back.
This July 12th, the second anniversary of his death, we’ll be hosting the Brett Smith Memorial Team Championship at Ship Rock DGC. This will be a fun team format with some holes being best shot, some being cumulative score, some being dubs, etc. While there will be a perpetual trophy to be passed to the winning team from year to year, the real goal is to salvage something good from this tragedy and to bring back the true VIBE of disc golf.
Gather up your team of 4 players to represent your Team/Club/Course. Each team/club can have more than one team if you have the interest but we are putting a ratings cap of 3700/team to keep everyone involved. Unrated players will count as 900 against the ratings cap. There will only be one division for all teams so there should be a large amount of PDGA points available for all.
The cost for this trophy only event will be $80/team. There will be no payouts but lunch will be provided for everyone.

Refund policy
Elevated Disc Golf Events is responsible for all refunds/cancellations. No refunds will be granted after 7/5 due to having to place the lunch order.
