Proud to announce a local, southern Brazoria county PDGA Sanctioned league coming Oct 22!
This will be a 6 week long league with a one rated round each week. Players will accrue points each week based on round performance. The top 4 players in each division at the end of the 6 weeks will compete in a League Finals round on the 7th week to take home the W and extra cash in their pockets! (if less than 4 in a division than all players will compete week 7 providing they completed AT LEAST 3 out of 6 total rounds). Top 3 in each division after FINALS round will take home CASH prize and of course bragging rights! Feel free to compete for your local bag tags each round if you’re feeling confident!
This 6 week league will play beginning with Round 1/Week 1 at Dunbar on October 22nd, playing the LONG TEE layout. The only exception is hole 13 which has only the one tee. All OB/MANDOS and course rules should be enforced by all players during rounds. The following Sunday we will switch to the ALTERNATE layout playing odds long/even shorts, and then alternate respectively each week on SUNDAY for the duration of the league! All scoring will be done on PDGA live and I’ve decided to go ahead and get a jump start on 2024 season and require each player on a card to keep a scorecard for the group and all players are responsible for submitting completed card within 30 minutes of finishing round! This gives equal distribution to score keeping detail every Rounds will be played each Sunday, beginning October 22nd and must be completed and submitted before 10pm Sunday night each week. All submitted cards/rounds must have at least 3 participants in order to receive official ratings (with no more than 5 total)and can be played at any time during league day. A weekly post in the local Facebook on Monday’s will be made to remind players of league and hopefully allow competitors to find cardmates at a good time for each individual participating. (If there’s a situation where there is not at least 3 let TD know and accommodations will be made as well as humanly possible!) Remember, most cards will be fully mixed divisions but each player is competing only against others in their division.
This is a sanctioned PDGA event and all PDGA Rules and Code of Conduct guidelines must be followed with the exception of the consumption of alcohol per the following league rules:
Where local law and event venue rules permit, players who are of legal age to do so may use or display alcohol between the two-minute signal and submitting their scorecard (see 3.03.B.5). However, players still may not drink to excess or be publicly intoxicated (see 3.03.B.6). Each card is solely responsible to make group calls on OB/MANDO/COURTESY CALL ETC. If there is a truly unclear consensus regarding anything please reach out to TD with issue! (I think we all know that’s unlikely to happen but when In doubt throw a provisional or ask about a rule if you don’t know)
Entry fee for Fall League will be $35.00 for all divisions for all 6 weeks of competition OR the option for players to play at their choice for $10.00 per round/per week based on when they choose to compete and play!Players are not required to compete each week if they choose not to, or are unable to. (Although it’s recommended to go for it all as missed rounds means no points that week). League days are rain or shine rounds, unless there is severe weather that causes that week to be cancelled. If bad weather is a possibility a warning will be sent to players the day before and cancellation notices sent out if needed.
All money from league that is NOT used to cover PDGA and Division payouts will be given directly to the people who help grow the sport and help with course improvements . We all know that without the efforts of these awesome advocates of our sport we would not have the amazing courses we have here locally!
