Betty is a mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, mother-in-law, friend and precious child of God. She is a devout believer who just recently retired after 39 1/2 years in the healthcare industry and is looking forward to serving others through various volunteer activities through her church and other charitable organizations.

She was initially diagnosed with Leimyosarcoma in 2019 and had been cancer free until March 28th when it was determined the cancer had returned as inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor. Because little is known about it, she requires specialized treatment at a facility far from home. She is scheduled to begin her treatment process at MD Anderson in Houston Texas on the 11th of April.
