About this tournament

BobbyGitr's Battle at Brady is the 4th Stop in the Central Illinois Doubles Tour!

This event will be 2-rounds at Brady Park Disc Golf Course in East Peoria, Illinois.

Format – Best Shot Doubles
Tentatively Rounds of 18 Holes, but temp holes may be added to increase field size.

Player’s Meeting : 8:45
Round 1 Tee Time : 9:00
Lunch will be roughly 45-60 minutes, depending on Round 1 finishing times.
Round 2 will begin promptly after lunch
Awards/Trophies after Round 2

Entry Fee Breakdown:
$20.00 – All Teams (regardless of division) will receive a single Player’s Pack.
Player’s Pack for the Battle at Brady is TBD
$20.00 – Trophies and Cash Payouts for All Divisions
$5.00 – Added to pot for End of Tour Payouts
$10.00 – Additional fees, insurance, course usage, etc. Unfortunately, many of these courses have insurance requirements and other fees associated with their use. Rather than have an individual event be incredibly more expensive, we will be adding one set amount to the entry fee for each event. Hopefully, adding this fee is not a deterrent to you. We appreciate your support and attendance.

Additional (Optional) Fees:
$2 Ace Fund - Per Player
$2 50/50 CTP - Per Player
$10 - Team Registration. Registration only needs to be paid one time by one teammate for the team to accrue tour points. 100% of $10 from the team registration fee will go to end of tour payouts, in additional to the $5 from standard player entry fees.

How to choose your appropriate division:
If both players on a team are rated OVER 900 by the PDGA, it is recommended that you play “Advanced/Spicy.” If both players are rated below 900, we recommend you play “Recreational/Mild”. If players are one of each, or are unrated, use your best judgement based on your knowledge of your skill set and competition level. Payouts are intended to be deep (40-50% of the field when possible) so there will be prizes beyond 1st place.

(Additionally: See “Bagger Rule”)

THE CENTRAL ILLINOIS DOUBLES TOUR
This is a points-based tour. Points will be accrued over 5 events. Teams that have registered for the tour will accumulate points in their divisions based on their finish at each event. End of Season payouts will be distributed to teams in each division with the highest point totals. Our intention is for payouts at individual events AND in the tour series to be fairly deep (45-50%) but may be adjusted based on total entry.
A Team is NOT required to register for the tour if they only intend to play individual events for payouts and not accrue tour points.
End of Season Payouts will be done entirely based on points accrued. There is no minimum/maximum number of events a team must play. A team is not required to play all 5 events, but is recommended in order to accumulate the most possible points.

Registering/Team Rules
A one-time $10 Registration fee is required for your team to accumulate points.
100% of this entry fee goes to the “pot” for End of Tour payouts
Registering your team will also allow you to declare an “Alternate.” The purpose of an “Alternate” is in case a team wants to play in multiple tour events, but one of the players is unavailable to participate in one or more of the events. The alternate is allowed to play in their stead so the team can still accumulate points. This alternate will be allowed to substitute for either teammate at any event that one of the players is unable to attend. The alternate can be used in as many events as necessary as long as one other registered teammate is also playing. However, if the “alternate” will be playing more events than an individual player, please register them as a Teammate rather than an alternate.
The alternate may ALSO be used if a player is injured mid-round and a swap is required for the team to finish the event. However, there are no other situations where an alternate will be permitted to swap with a registered player mid-tournament.
Other Rules for Team Registration:
1) For the mild division, if players have Active PDGA ratings, the Alternate should not have a rating that is more than 30 points higher than the highest rated player on the team, OR should be rated lower than the current highest rated player in the division, whichever is higher. TD may allow exceptions within reason with advanced notice.
For the Advanced division, there are no requirements for the alternate.
2) To receive points, the team MUST be registered by the start of the fourth event. Teams may register online using the “Team Registration” option during the registration process, or directly message the TD.
3) An individual may play for multiple teams, and may be registered for points with multiple teams, but can only play with one team per event, and can only accrue points for a single team at an individual event.

Additional Tour Rules:
While this is an “unsanctioned” event, for play rules, we will be abiding by PDGA rules as written in the PDGA rulebook, EXCEPT where otherwise noted.
Changes to existing Rules –
The lunch guideline of “one hour” can be adjusted to less or more at TDs discretion.
Any additional changes to play rules will be posted online and explained by TD at the time of the event.

“THE BAGGER RULE”
Teams are allowed to pick a division at their discretion. As this is unsanctioned, Divisions will not be determined by individual ratings (other than where the declared Alternate Player is concerned), so it will be up to teams to decide which division they feel is the most appropriate for them based on skill level. As a result, we have created the “Bagger” rule to prevent higher level players from trying to take advantage and win all of the lower division events.
Any individual player who wins (places 1st) THREE TIMES or more in any division in any BobbyGitr / Central Illinois Doubles Event – cumulative/lifetime – will no longer be able to participate in the Recreational/Mild Division and that Player’s entire team will be forced to move to the Advanced/Spicy Division. For the remainder of that season, points accrued will count for both divisions’ point totals. End of season payout will be based on whichever finish is better (Team will not receive payouts for both divisions). If the player in question is the Alternate, the Team will be given one opportunity to change their Alternate to a different player rather than switch division.

ACE POT
If no Aces are hit, the pot will roll over to the next event. Any accumulated ace pot will result in an Ace Throw off at the final event of the tour.

A note on team names:
Team Names MUST be appropriate. Please no swearing or vulgarity or you will be asked to change your team name. "Appropriateness" will be decided by the Tournament Director on a case by case basis and may not be limited to only swearing or vulgarity depending on the team name in question.
Please, let's not make this a big deal and just pick a simple, child appropriate name. Thanks!
