Welcome to the 23rd Black Fly Fling in the beautiful South River, ON! A tournament like no other with 80 holes over 4 rounds, at the legendary Tom Thomson course.

Presented by Crozier Environmental Inc., the Algonquin Disc Golf Club and the Village of South River, we welcome you to this pinnacle event. We are thrilled to share that this year’s event, contingent on an early thaw, will be the first to showcase our new baskets. In addition to new baskets, it will also be the first Black Fly to play the new par 4s that have been modified on the course.

We are excited to share that this year, we will again serve as an OCC Tour Stop and act as a Provincial Qualifier for the 2026 Ontario Provincial Championship held in Kemptville, ON.

For first timers to the course, Tom Thomson sits on the shores of Algonquin park and a great mix of open and wooded holes. It is very cart friendly as it is a flat and very walkable course.

At 6pm on Friday night, the club will host a random draw doubles event to get a little practice round/social time prior to the main event on Saturday. This will be a fundraiser for the local food bank. Entrance will be either a $5 donation OR three non perishable food items. There will be prizes for this event and a great opportunity to meet other players.

On Saturday night, we invite you all to a banquet dinner at the Legion in South River. Additionally our awards and raffle will also take place at the Legion on the Sunday after the final round.

DISCY CHICKS DISC GOLF
Mindy and Rob Myall are coming back to vend all the events and meet your disc golf needs. They have been an integral partnership for the tourney always helping to elevate the experience.

Any support you show them they put back into the sport so go and show them some love this event. Throw long and prosper!

A NOTE ON REGISTRATION
In an effort to help streamline the registration process, our initial registration form for the event will be simplified to only having to select your division.

When the divisional caps are lifted, we will update the registration form to include ace pot, banquet dinner selections, and pre-event food options (More details to follow!). We hope that this keeps the opening registration smooth and efficient as this event has sold out quickly in years past.

An email will be sent out to all registered players notifying them when the registration has been updated.

We reserve the right to collapse any division with less then 3 players.

WAITLIST
In the event of a waitlist, each division will form its own waitlist and be promoted with divisional numbers in mind. We are looking to keep a balance for cards, layouts, and overall division numbers.
