Hello everyone, and welcome to the Black Bear Open 4! Our goal is for this to be our best showing yet of what an Elite Disc Golf event looks like in Southern Ohio!

For BBO4, we again will be playing two rounds of 21 on the Black Bear DGC in the beautiful Shawnee State Park. The 3 extra tournament holes are game changers for this course. All 3 include water hazard. Hole 21 plays to an island, and is one of the most fun holes that we've ever played! This year, BBO4 is a 2 day B tier. 1 round each day with Tee times. This gives everybody more time to hang out with friends and relax between rounds. Payouts at the end of each division finishing their Second round.

At least $1000 added cash for Open this year! We are working on gaining more sponsors this year to once again give Amateurs a players pack worth more than the entry fee! We already have a fresh new stamp designed professionally by Justin Lago for tournament discs. $1000 added value thus far for Am players!

This year we will be holding a staggered registration, allowing 21 individuals to register early by choosing to sponsor a hole for $25. Sponsor registration will open April 1st to the first 21 people, then general registration opens on April 15th. There will be a cap of 152 players. Hole sponsors will be given a more limited Black Bear run of disc, as well as having your name advertised on a tee on the course for 1 year.

I am willing to add more divisions, but will need at least 3 people in each age protected division, otherwise people will need to be moved into the closest appropriate divisions later if not filled.

Deals on overnight stays at the Shawnee Lodge and possibly for campsites at Shawnee. The lodge is beside holes 13 and 14. It has an indoor pool, restaurant, and a bar. The campground is just a 4 minute drive down the road from hole 1.

The course will be put in the tournament layout no later than the week prior, probably much earlier than that. Holes 19, 20, and 21 we will try to have in place the Thursday before the event. For those of you who want to come early to practice and take in all the Park has to offer, just be wary of us who are on the course making sure it is in tip top shape for you all.

The day before day 1 of BBO4, we will be having the Little Bear flex start. It will be a flex start C tier first tee offs will start at noon, last tee off at 5pm. $25 gets you a disc for players pack, a rated round on the temporary glow course, and payout.

The night before BBO4, as is tradition, we will be playing glow doubles on the temporary course set up around the picnic and beach area. Doubles will be teeing off at 7:30pm, more information will follow as it is made available. It will be $5 random draw.

Where does my money go?

+Amateur Divisions- $3 goes to PDGA for ratings.
$5 goes to Ace Pool
$10 goes to Players packs.
$32 goes to Payout.

We are working diligently on obtaining enough sponsors for Am players packs to be worth the price of admission for the tournament.

+Pro Divisions- $3 goes to PDGA for ratings.
$5 goes to Ace Pool
$52 goes to Payout

Every player in this tournament is automatically entered into Ace Pool. If we max out our player pool, Ace Pot will be worth $760! Ace pool will be paid out after the tournament via Paypal. If multiple aces hit during tournament, Ace Pot will be split accordingly. IF NO ACE HIT DURING THE TOURNAMENT, ACE POT WILL BE DONATED TOWARDS BUILDING STEPS FROM 1 TO 2.

Southern Ohio Disc Golf Association will give full refund up until 12pm on 9/21.
