About this tournament

Welcome to BlackJack or Bust Junior Throwdown. This is the inaugural junior only event hosted at the private BlackJack disc golf course. Blackjack is a unique and challenging course located in the mountains of NC with moderate to strenuous terrain. Personal bag carts are allowed but are not recommended. The tournament will be one round of 23 holes as well as post round skill challenges to begin after lunch.

BlackJack DGC is located within 3 miles of historic Valle Crucis and 20 minutes outside of Boone, NC.

CARDINAL FOOD TRUCK IS IN! Check out their menu at www.thecardinalboone.com. Packing a lunch is also an option. AND....SUNSET SLUSH trailer will also be on site with Slushies for the sweet tooth!

Player packs provided to each participant valued above entry fee. Trophy only for divisional winners.

Players check-in from 7:45 - 8:30. Players meeting at 8:35. 9:00 Shotgun start. One hour break for lunch after last card is in. Skill challenges after lunch followed by prize/trophy presentations. Additional tournament and course information will be emailed prior to tournament weekend.

This is a professional level premier mountain disc golf course that will be open for practice for tournament participants and families April 29th-May 1st as well as May 5th & 6th.

MJ08 and FJ08 will be playing shorter course layout. Course layout and map will be available when course is open for practice. At least three players will be needed per age division. If a division has less than three, players will be moved up to next age group.

GPS and cell service is spotty depending on carrier so the directions from Boone are as follows:
1. NC HWY 105 South towards Banner Elk.
2. Right on Broadstone Road (Watauga River Bridge)
3. Left on Watauga River Road (Past Orginal Mast Store right before Watauga River)
4. 1.75 Miles to Left on Tom Ward Road
5. Left on Paul Presnell Road
6. Take right Fork and road becomes Long Ridge Farms Road
7. Keep Right until you see the equipment Barn on your left below the 21 basket.

Again, lunch will be covered for tournament players. The Cardinal Boone will provide Burger/Veggie burger/or hot dog and fries for each player. They do have gluten free bread options. Food will be available for purchase by other guests and spectators. Sunset Slush will also have slushies for sale. There will also be drinks available for purchase. We will also have water coolers set up.

Refund policy

The 516 Group is responsible for all refunds/cancellations.

Refunds requested prior to the event will receive a 100% refund minus a $15 handling fee on all refunds through April 30th.
