Get ready to huck some plastic for a purpose! Join us for Birdies For Blaine, a two-round, bring-your-own-partner doubles disc golf tournament. Every throw helps support James G. Blaine School students on their life-changing trip to Panama to study agriculture. Money raised from the tournament will go directly towards supporting passport and travel costs.
This isn't just a day on the course; it's an opportunity to directly impact the lives of young learners from a low-income area, providing them with an extraordinary educational experience focused on agriculture in Panama.
Students will gain invaluable practical knowledge and real-world experience by observing and participating in agricultural practices in a different climate and culture. They'll learn about sustainable farming methods, crop diversity, and the vital role agriculture plays in global communities.
For these students, this trip will be their first experience traveling internationally. This exposure to a new country, language, and way of life will foster a global perspective, build confidence, and spark a lifelong curiosity for exploration and learning. Travel is a powerful educator, teaching adaptability, problem-solving, and appreciation for diverse cultures.
This experience can ignite new passions and open doors to future academic and career paths they may not have considered.
So, join us on November 8, 2025 at Fort Washington Disc Golf Course to support this incredible initiative. Each shot you take during this tournament will translate into invaluable learning experiences and life-changing opportunities for the students of James G. Blaine School.
