About this tournament

The first ever Big Baddeck Spring Fling disc golf tournament, hopefully the first of many!

Come join us for two rounds of PDGA-sanctioned play on Sunday, May 24th. The One Tree Farm course was designed and built last summer, and so far has only been played by a handful of people. As of this writing the top score is -2 on the 18-hole Yellow layout. We'll know better after the tournament, but at this point I'd estimate even par is rated about 900 - don't let the shorter holes deceive you, this is a technically demanding and fun course! Note that targets are high-quality, brightly-painted tonals built from steel fenceposts.

If you haven't played a lot of disc golf or have never competed in a tournament (which is awesome, welcome!), then please sign up for the MA4 or FA4 division. If you are a more experienced player then please register in the other divisions.

CHARITY EVENT

This is a charity event with funds raised going to support senior and youth programs at the BOLD Centre in Baddeck. Running the event as a fundraiser helps us introduce disc gold to the community while keeping registration fees relatively low. $13 from each entry will be donated to the BOLD Centre. Learn more about BOLD at https://boldcentre.ca.

PRIZES and PAYOUTS

There will be one CTP for Pros and one for Ams. (Note that we are not doing an ace pot due to the potential difficulty of confirming aces on tonal targets.)

All participants will receive a custom mini marker as a player pack, value $5.

Pro divisions will be paid out to the top 40% of players in each division, from a purse consisting of $10 per registered player in that division.
