We're back again for year number 3 of the berg meme tournament!
A call to all Berg throwers- Are you, and your strange looking disc, tough enough to beat THE ENTIRE WORLD?? Come join us on April 26th to find out!
Details:
"Prize pack" consists of a lunch and raffle tickets for some great prizes. Prizes will be on display and players can put their tickets towards whichever prize(s) they'd like to try to win. Extra tickets are available for purchase as well.
We'll have some awesome prizes including custom dyed discs, vintage collectible discs and more.
Choose your team at the time you register, or if you are willing to play for either side, choose that option to help us balance the teams. Wildman Disc Golf will be on site with plenty of various Bergs, non-Berg 1 & 2 speed discs (and more) available.
Team Berg - Allowed to throw Berg and BergX discs only, in any and all plastics, runs, etc. No bag size limit.
Team World - Allowed to throw any/all 1 or 2 speed PDGA approved disc molds, other than the Berg or BergX. No mold or bag size limit.
The event will be played as a variation of Match Play, pitting the two teams against each other in multiple 1v1 battles for points across two rounds. 4 players (2 matchups) per card.
Round 1 will be played from the red pads. Random draw for match ups. Each hole "won" is worth 1 point for the glory of your team. Ties are worth 0 points for that hole in that matchup.
Round 2 will be played from the red pads as well. Each hole won is now worth 2 points. Match ups will be determined by results of the first round. The top point earner for Team Berg will be pitted against the top point earner for Team World. 2nd with 2nd and so on.
New this year- we will be awarding 1 point per ace!

This event is run by the Wildman Outdoor Society, a registered non-profit group in Alberta. We provide affordable outdoor activities and programs for Albertans. We're big on volunteerism and helping the next generation grow up with opportunities to participate in sports and outdoor activities. This event and others act as fundraisers for our society's goals!
