About this tournament

Be My Valentine Doubles at Ox Bow is a PDGA sanctioned XC-Tier doubles tournament. Teams of two will play two rounds of 24 holes at Ox Bow Flying Disc Sanctuary in Goshen, Indiana.
FORMAT
Two rounds of Best Shot. 48 holes.
Gold and Blue divisions will play from the long tees both rounds.
White division will play long tees the first round and short tees the second round.
Red, Green and Purple divisions will play from the short tees both rounds.
As we get closer to the event I will add more holes to the layout (weather permitting) and open the registration for additional teams.
DIVISIONS
This is a ratings-based event. Doubles teams may consist of any two players, rated or not, regardless of age, skill or gender. Teams will register in the division that corresponds to their ratings. If players on a team are rated in different divisions, the team must register in the division that corresponds to the higher rated player.
Gold (Pros) rating 970+
Blue <970
White rating <935
Red rating <900
Green rating <850
Purple rating <800
If two players on a team do not have a rating they may register for the Purple division or any other division should they determine their skill level is comparable to a higher division.
The tournament director reserves the right to combine divisions of less than three players. The TD will also open a requested division with a minimum of three players.

This will be run as a ratings-based event. Both team members must play in a division applicable to their current PDGA rating. You may play "up" but you may not play "down" a division. Player rating classifications will be strictly enforced. You will be moved to the appropriate division should your December rating affect your division registration at the time.
Please contact the TD with any questions.Any pros wishing to play for cash payouts must compete in the GOLD division. Pros wishing to play as amateurs may do so in the appropriate division but will only receive merchandise (trophy) as a payout.

All ams will receive a new stock stamp Discmania Active Line disc.

CTP prizes for all amateur divisions.
Optional Ace Fund and 50/50 Cash CTP.

Player pack - $10 (Ams only)
PDGA fees - $3
Greens fees - $2 (early opening, facility rental, daily vehicle and disc golf fees)
PAYOUTS
This is a trophy only true amateur event for all amateur divisions. Trophies will be awarded for the top three teams in each division.
Pros (Gold Division only) will play for cash payouts (top 40%) and a trophy will be awarded to the first place team. $20 per team will be included in the overall purse.
SCORING
We will be using PDGA live scoring for this event. Each group will also have a paper scorecard available as a backup to the digital application. Log in and password will be posted here closer to the event. You may use the PDGA Scoring App for Android or iOS or the web-based version.

Refund policy
Maple City Disc Golf is responsible for all refunds/cancellations.
Players who officially request to withdraw from an event at least 30 days before the start of the event (February 15th) will receive a 100% cash refund monetary refund of their entry fee (minus up to a $10 handling fee).
Players who officially request to withdraw from an event 15 to 29 days (January 19th - February 1st) before the start of the event will receive a 100% cash monetary refund of their entry fee minus up to a $10 handling fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled through the waitlist by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request.
If the player’s spot is NOT filled, the TD has the choice to provide EITHER a 50% cash monetary refund of their entry fee OR just the player’s pack the player would have received if they had attended (minus the cost of shipping). In the case of a player in a Pro division for an event without a Pro player pack worth at least 25% of the Entry Fee, the TD will provide the 50% cash monetary refund.
Players who officially request to withdraw from an event within 14 days (February 2nd) of the start of the event and prior to the event’s published closure of registration and waitlist replacements (within one week is recommended) will receive a 100% cash monetary refund minus up to a $10 handling fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled through either the waitlist by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request.
If the player’s spot is NOT filled, the TD has the choice to provide EITHER a 25% cash monetary refund OR just the player’s pack they would have received if they had attended (minus the cost of shipping). In the case of a player in a Pro division for an event without a Pro player pack worth at least 25% of the Entry Fee, the TD will provide the 25% cash monetary refund.
