Battle For The Berths
About this tournament
Flyin Lyon did not run our normal doubles league this year, so this is how we will be getting rid of our 2 berths!
Format:
1 round of 18 holes. Bring your own partner. Best shot doubles.
Rules for partners (IMPORTANT!):
As this is a chance to qualify for the Michigan Amateur State Championships, no players rated 970 or above are allowed to play. Each team can have a combined rating of AT MOST 1900. Yeah, addition.
Eligibility for berths:
You and your partner MUST have current PDGA ratings to be eligible for the berths. (This means the player’s rating is listed on their PDGA profile page.) No exceptions. Repeat: no exceptions.
If your team has a player without a current rating, you can still play and be eligible for CTPs only.
Registration:
To cashless preregister, list your team name and team members (with pdga numbers) in the comments section.
Berths:
There are 2 berths available to the State Championships, so each player on the winning team will earn a berth to the state finals.
If the winning team does not want both berths, a berth can be passed to the next team. It will be up to that team to determine who gets the berth.
Cost:
$25 per team
Payouts:
The only payout is the berth package for the winning team, but there will be many CTPs on the course.
CTPs:
For every 2 teams registered, we will put a CTP on the course. CTP prizes will be discs or other disc golf items. Each CTP will have a value of at least $15. No additional charges for CTPs.
Ties?
If 2 or more teams are tied at the end of the round of 18 holes, a sudden death playoff will begin on hole 1 until one team remains.
Ace Pool:
There will be an optional $5 ace pool per team.
If no aces are hit, all teams that bought in will throw off for the money.
