This is a best shot doubles event with two doubles pairings carding and traveling together. The winning doubles pairing will be calculated with 75% weighted for score, 25% weighted time. In addition to a doubles pairing winner and prize, there will be a travel team prize. No cheating, non-completion of courses, or breaking traffic
laws. Your travel team of 4 is working together logistically and still competing for score. You must start and complete the entire event with your team of 4 intact. If anyone drops out, even on the opposing doubles pairing, you cannot officially finish the event. Choose wisely as your travel team will need to be strong, capable, and mentally tough.
Two doubles pairings make up a travel group (team). You must determine your travel group and sign up as a travel team of 4. You will have one team representative, your travel group captain, who will be responsible for signing up your team and communicating with an admin. There will be 12 team spots available, registration
is on DG Scene. You are not allowed to have multiple people attempting to sign up. We will use U-Disc live scoring for this event. Each doubles pairing will be required to have a U-Disc account setup for your doubles pairing. Two doubles pairings will make up your travel group. You must designate your travel group’s captain. That travel captain will be the only person communicating with the event admins. Your travel team of 4 is required to complete each course together as a 4 card. The travel team must play and
complete each hole together. Your team does not need to travel together (for example you could have two cars with one doubles pairing in each car), however, there will be no more than one team per vehicle allowed. (4 total people per car). Every course is required to be completed in its entirety (as specified) by every member of
the team. You do NOT have to start on hole one of a particular course.

All travel teams must meet at the starting location of Sgt. Means Park at 6:30 central time Saturday morning Nov 7th. From there they can choose how they want to approach the first day and first 4 courses. There are 4 courses to complete on day two. There will be no start meeting day 2. You decide which day two course you want to start with. You cannot start any earlier than 6 am. You can only play day one courses on day one and day two courses on day two. But strategize wisely to position yourself for the best possible day two start! All traffic laws must be obeyed.
Once your team has successfully completed all day 2 courses - head to your final destination which will be Rivers Edge. You will then play Hole 1 to complete your event. Your official end time will be the completion of Hole 1.
Your team must return to Rivers Edge by 8 pm Central time Nov 8th and complete Hole 1 before 8 pm or they will be disqualified. All team members are required to complete Hole 1 at Rivers Edge to officially end your event.
At Rivers Edge we will enjoy a fire, food, beer, awards, and maybe some glow golf for those that haven't had enough!

Scoring:
The scoring will be very simple. All scoring is based on what place you are in. Meaning that the overall strokes for each team only matter to determine what place you are in. Lowest strokes is 1st, the next lowest, 2nd, etc. The same applies to finish time. Obviously each traveling team or group will have the same arrival time as each other. Therefore the first team of 4 to arrive at River's Edge will be 1st, the second will be 3rd, the third will be 5th, etc. When calculating the winner of the tournament, we will use 75% score and 25% time. So if the team of two with the lowest score arrives as the second group in, they will multiply their place (1st) by 3 and their time place (tied for 3rd) by 1. Therefore, their score will be calculated as (1x3)+(3x1)=6. The lowest overall score using this method will be the winner. This is important to understand because the amount of strokes you win by will have no bearing on the final score other than putting you in a place and timing is very important as well. This year there will also be some options to play alternate additional holes, which when completed within a certain amount of strokes, will serve to reduce final score. The gamble will be whether the additional time taken to play the holes will be worth the risk of not completing the holes under the score needed to receive the final point deductions.

All local and State laws are to be followed at all times during the event. Please show courtesy to all teams and players.
