About this tournament

Welcome to the Inaugural Bangkok Open 2025 Disc Golf Tournament |
November 22–23, 2025 | Lakewood Country Club, Bangkok.

Get ready for a monumental moment in Southeast Asia disc golf history! The first-ever Bangkok Open Disc Golf Tournament is a PDGA sanctioned event set to take place on November 22–23 at the scenic Lakewood Links Golf Course, just outside the heart of Bangkok.

At Lakewood, you will be challenged with gusty wind, technical fairways with sands, creeks, ridges, and our beautiful tropical almond trees. Lakewood Disc Golf Course is now the longest 36-hole disc golf course in South East Asia! Featuring four par 5’s , twenty-one par 4’s, and eleven Par 3´s (Total Par of 137), Lakewood Disc Golf Course is over 5 km of pure disc-sailing joy! Long and short tees on both 18 hole courses will bring challenge and excitement for every player of all skill levels.
Set against the lush fairways and water features of Lakewood’s championship-level course, the tournament will showcase world-class disc golf in a stunning and competitive environment. With divisions for pros and amateurs alike, the Bangkok Open promises thrilling play, strong community vibes, and a unique cultural experience in one of Asia's most vibrant cities.

We rented the course for the whole weekend, registered players can play the course before and after the tournament rounds within the opening hours on both days. The friday greensfee is not included.

-MPO,MP40 and MA1 divisions will play the"Long Tee'' layout.
-FPO, MA2, MA50, MP50, Junior divisions and FA1 will play the "Short Tee" layout.
-If there are at least four players who request a division, then additional age restricted divisions will be added.
-All divisions will play one round on Saturday November 22nd and one round on Sunday November 23rd at Lakewood. The Top 4 MPO-players will play a final 9 after the 2nd round on November 23rd at Lakewood.
-The price for all Pro divisions is 2400 baht (500 baht go into the Cash-payout-pool).
-The price for all Amateur divisions is 1900 baht.
-The price for all Junior divisions is 1300 baht.

For all divisions the registration fees covers greens fee costs, trophies, PDGA sanctioning and all players recieve a Bangkok Open Shirt. Please note that only Pro divisions have cash payouts (500 baht per player goes into the cash prize pool). The shirts are ordered on october 20th, we will order more shirts for players registering later but it will be first come first serve until they are gone if you register after the 20th of october. Amateurs playing in pro divisions may not choose to receive merchandise in lieu of cash. If an amateur declines a cash prize then the payout will be given to the next player in the order of finish.

There are golf carts available at the country club clubhouse.

Here are more informations for our players! On friday we will collect the greensfee at the course so players don’t have to go to the main countryclub to pay the greensfee.

We will play random draw Doubles at 1pm (half an Hour earlier than originally postet on dgs, will be updated soon) this is a fun event to get to know your fellow disc golfers. The greensfee for doubles is not included in the tournament but if you already got the unlimited holes ticket for fridays practice the doubles round is of course included. We will play the south course and have two groups, Long Tees and Short Tees so you are still practicing for the tournament if you want to.

At 6.30 on on friday we have a little welcome players party at the Silver Palm Hotel. At 8pm we will start a live Stream from the Hotel and have a virtual players meeting where we are answering questions about the course, specific holes, cards, rules etc. in detail so everyone is prepared for the tournament

We will have food and water, soft drinks and beer for sale at the clubhouse on saturday and sunday.

We have a line app group for lost discs. Please take a picture that clearly shows the surrounding area and mark the spot that you think it got lost in the water/bushes and add the hole + north white/south blue course. The diver gets 100 baht per retrieved disc, please pay when you get your disc back. Thank you so much, we will try our best to get your disc back to you.

On saturday we will have a quick players meeting at 12.30pm before the round and then head out to our starting holes for the first round at 1pm. MPO,MP40 and MA1 divisions will play the"Long Tee'' layout and play round 1 on the north course.
FPO, MA2, MA50, MP50, Junior divisions and FA1 will play the "Short Tee" Layout and play round 1 on the south course.

On sunday we start earlier at 9am. No players meeting, check your starting hole on https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/96619 or at the clubhouse. MPO,MP40 and MA1 divisions will play the blue "Long Tee'' layout on the south course.

FPO, MA2, MA50, MP50, Junior divisions and FA1 will play the "Short Tee" Layout on the north course. In case there are playoffs for top 3 positions after the final round please join us at the clubhouse so we can give you your starting hole and you can proceed to play.

After the second round the top 4 MPO players will play a final 9 to crown the first Bangkok Open Champion. Join the gallery and see some of the best players in Southeast Asia in action.

And finally around 4pm we will have the awards ceremony. We will have a raffle style giveaway for every division so everyone has the chance to win something. If you would like to sponsor something for the raffles bring it to the tournament and contact Pete or Jah at tournament central at the clubhouse in the upcoming days so we can include it at the awards ceremony.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
The country club management informed us that there will only be 10 instead of 50 golf carts available for us on the tournament days this weekend. To make it fair for everyone the golf carts will only be available for spectators and staff. The players can still leave their bag on the cart but have to walk by themselves. Sorry for the inconvenience we hope everyone understands.
