About this tournament
Welcome to the inaugural Baerg's Bergs and Burgs disc golf tournament! This is a one-day, two-round, Berg-only tournament featuring a burger lunch in between rounds.
The whole tournament must be played with a Kastaplast Berg, a unique, puddle-topped, slow-flying putter (flight specs: Speed 1 / Glide 1 / Turn 0 / Fade 2). More than one Berg may be used by the same player, but every shot must be completed with a Berg. If you do not own a Berg, no problem--order one through the registration page at a discount, courtesy of Escape Sports. For additional Bergs, contact the Tournament Director.
This PDGA-unsanctioned, open tournament will be held at a pop-up course in Kistikan Park (15 holes) and James Anderson Park (3 holes) in Eastivew, Saskatoon. The course will feature 18 real, tournament-grade DiscGolfPark baskets courtesy of Battlefords Disc Golf Club. The layout is designed with Bergs in mind and makes use of park features to create natural out-of-bounds and hazard lines, a baseball infield 'island' green, mandatories around park objects, and elevated pins on park infrastructure. The shots are varied, interesting, and challenging.
A burger and side will be provided directly to tournament central by Loosey's, a pub located in between the two course parks. All registrations include their delicious OG Burger and fries or house salad. A vegetarian alternative Portobello mushroom burger and burger add-ons and side upgrades are available for an upcharge (see registration page for details). Tournament central will feature music from DJ Fu for both rounds and the lunch break. Loosey's will also host the afterparty--see you there for post-tournament beverages.
Register early to ensure availability of food and Bergs. Contact the Tournament Director using the link above with any questions. Requests for additional divisions will be considered.
