B-East Finals(Best in the East Flex Tournament)

B-EAST Flex Tournament
The B-East, Best in the East, tournament is geared toward disc golfers east of the GTA. We hope to bring together both well-seasoned and new players for this event. When registering players will declare which disc golf course they are representing. The tournament will consist of 3 preliminary rounds followed by a playoff round. After the playoff round. THE CLUB WITH THE LOWEST SCORE wins the event!
Cost: $40/player paid by booking at newcastlediscgolf.ca This cost includes a playoff tournament on May 1st and three preliminary rounds at Newcastle, Lindsay and Riverview in Peterborough as well as prizes and bragging rights for your club.
Registration: March 18 - April 9 for any players that want to participate. When registering all players must enter a disc golf club or home course that they will be competing for, (please don’t invent new clubs). Please register and pay online at: www.newcastlediscgolf.ca
Prizes: 25% of cost will be paid out as cash prizes to the winning team. During playoff day there will be a closest to the pin prize for one player on each card. The club winners will have their names added to the B-East trophy as representatives for their club affiliation.
Format of Play: Unsanctioned, modified flex format that consists of 1 round at Lindsay Disc Golf, 1 round at Newcastle Disc Golf course (see below for booking info.), and 1 round at Peterborough Riverview played between April 9th and April 30th. A final playoff round will be played on Sunday May 1st beginning at 9 am at Newcastle Disc Golf course. During preliminary rounds, players will need to play with a minimum of 2 other players registered in the tournament for their scorecard to count. Payment for the Newcastle preliminary round is included in the tournament fee. Please complete your waiver and book your tee time online using our special B-EAST booking option!*
Playoff Day: All players who register will be allowed to play a round on the playoff day but only the top 4 players from each club (decided by preliminary round totals) will actually be competing for the trophy and cash prize. The top 4 players from each club will be split up to compete against the top players from the other clubs and the lowest combined score will win. Note that if we get enough female players (minimum of 3 women from at least 3 clubs) registering we will also create a separate playoff for women.
Rules: The event will be played using the PDGA Rules: Official Rules of Disc Golf
Scoring: Scoring will be completed on UDisc. For the preliminary rounds you will need to look for B-East Newcastle Preliminary, B-East Lindsay Preliminary and B-East Riverview Preliminary. On April 30th, the scores will be tabulated by adding up each player’s total score on the 3 courses and final cards established for the playoffs on May 1st.
Refunds/Withdrawals: No refunds after your first card has been submitted on Udisc. Please email [email redacted] if you have special circumstances.
