About this tournament

The Aussie Masters 2026 event is being held at the beautiful Macquarie Woods disc golf course in the Central West of NSW. Located near the village of Vittoria, half way between the regional centres of Bathurst and Orange the course is ideally situated for those travelling from any direction. HQ will be situated in the heart of the campground (follow the signs), with drinks available at HQ, but all players will need to bring their own snacks and food.
The event will take place on two newly modified layouts, based roughly upon the 2025 Central West Cold Snap, with a Division 1 and Division 2 layout, to meet the needs and challenge players of all levels. The event will initially be open to all divisions available to 40+ players, with divisions running to be streamlined two weeks after registration opens, depending upon interest in each division.
The tournament will also incorporate the State of Origin event - a single round state vs state event (featuring one team of "international stars") on the Friday before the event.
The course is situated in the surrounds of the Macquarie Woods Forestry Campground, an extensive but basic bush camping area with toilets on site, as well as free self-sufficient camping for those wishing to camp on-site (you will need to be self-reliant for water, food and power should you wish to do this). But it is the surrounding rolling hills and dense pine forests which are the heart of the event, with a beautiful, technical course featuring tight lines, elevation changes and water-carries to challenge the skills of all players.
Program:
Thursday 1st of October - Course Open for practice from 12 noon (with some sections of the course closed intermittently as final touches are being made to the course)
Friday 2nd of October - Course open for practice from 8am, with State of Origin event kicking off at 12 noon ( the course will be closed during this time for the State of Origin). Note the link in the Disc Golf Scene registration for those wishing to receive more information on participating in the State of Origin.
Saturday 3rd of October - Round 1 - Mixed cards. First card teeing off at 8am (note that the course is closed from this time to those not in their competition round and reopens after the final card has completed their round).
Saturday night - Players Dinner (book this as part of your Disc Golf Scene registration) at Reckless Brewery, Piper Street Bathurst (20-25 min from the course). Starting from 5:30pm, with great food (included in your Players' Dinner booking), drink and company.
Sunday 4th of October - Round 2 - Cards grouped by round 1 division and score (equal scores are sorted by lowest PDGA number). First card teeing off at 8am. (Note that this is the first day of daylight savings so please check that your clocks are adjusted accordingly). Social Ace run from 5pm at the course (note that we are currently working on a possible food option at the course - keep an ear and eye out for updates on this).
Monday 5th of October - Final Round - Cards grouped by division and overall score (equal scores sorted by best round 2 score and if still equal then by lowest PDGA number).
Note that players tied for 1st place only in any division are to proceed to a play-off, playing holes 1, 2 & 18 on repeat until a winner is decided. If more than one hole is required tee-off order is to alternate (or rotate in the case of more than two players) with the first to tee off on hole one decided by coin toss.
Event presentations will follow the completion of rounds.
All event information can be found on the Aussie Master website and Facebook pages.
