About this tournament

University of West Florida Outdoor Adventure program has teamed up with Innova to host our 3rd Annual Argo Disc Golf Classic!

We are looking at testing a few potential hole layouts for the ARGO Disc Golf tournament on November 20th

Players affiliated with the University of West Florida (Student, Faculty, Staff, Alumni) are eligible for a discounted entry fee, please email [email redacted] for more details

Who:

Open to all ages and skill levels.

Why:

The UWF Outdoor Adventure program is hosting an event with the overall goal of assisting the UWF Argo Pantry in its mission to support students who have an immediate need that could prevent them from academic success. The Agro Pantry gives all students access to food items at no cost to the student. Additionally, the tournament will highlight the UWF Disc Golf Course and raise funding for adding additional teepads to the course

The Outdoor Adventure program strives to introduce more students to outdoor activities.

Tournament Cost:

$40 per Junior Teams, ($20 per player), plus food donation to the Argo Pantry
$80 per Amateur Teams, ($40 per player), plus food donation to the Argo Pantry
$100 per Pro Teams, ($50 per player), plus food donation to the Argo Pantry

When: April, 17th, 2020

Check-In: 7:30 AM
Player Meeting: Social media posts leading up to the event
Round One: 9:00 am
Round Two: 1 hour after the last card is turned in from round 1

UDisc Events (a.k.a. Live-Scoring) will be used during the event

Doubles, Best Throw Format

Two Rounds will be played with a break for lunch in between

Looking at a 22 Hole Layout

Round 1 (Exact Layout TBD)
Red: MPO, MA1

White: MIX, MA2, MA3

Blue: MA4, FA4, MJ18, FJ18

Round 2 (Exact Layout TBD)
Red: MPO, MA1

White: MIX, MA2, MA3

Blue: MA4, FA3, FA4, MJ18, FJ18

Ties for 1st place will play a sudden death layout (9 hole loop), starting at hole 8 and playing through holes 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 6, 7 (and repeat if necessary) until a winner can be determined

The University has restrictions on food vendors but there are several quick serve food sources just off campus
