Annual Tinsel Toss benefitting Gulf Coast Children's Advocacy Center
About this tournament
It's the fourth year December tournaments and the 3rd Doubles Version of the Tinsel Toss and we are stoked to be partnering with Gulf Coast Children's Advocacy Center again this year.
Choose your own player's pack was a hit, so it's back. We've added more clarity on the amount of your donation and are stoked that so many people were willing to donate.
Tournament discs have all been claimed (30). If you would like one we can talk the day of and get one for you after the event.
We've donated $5200 over the last two years and would love to see that number sky rocket in helping the CAC support kids during the holiday season. We will have options to donate, sponsor, partner, and a killer raffle like in years past.
NEW THIS YEAR - Best Name award to be voted on by our incredible charity partner, so think about it.
So about the event! It'll be 2 rounds, doubles. The first round will be the nice round, in which it will be best shot. The second round will be the naughty round, in which is will be tough shot.
Best shot means both players throw and you take the lie that the players believe is the best. It does not have to be the closest and is up to the team who took the throws.
Tough shot means both players throw and you take the lie that the other folks on your card believe is the worst. It also doesn't have to be the furthest (example, one is 4 feet further but clear, a shorter occluded putt could be considered worse). However, if someone holes out, it counts and you don't have to take the other. (example, person A throws into the water, person B aces the hole, the score is a 1).
Also, we will be allowing folks to sign up for a coed division by using the RAH division.
Layouts:
MPO/MA1 - Blue
FPO/MA2 - White
FA1/MA3 - Red
RAH - male plays white layout, female plays red layout. Best shot/tough shot rules apply after the drive. This means on any hole with multiple tee pads, the male will throw from the furthest tee pad, the female will throw from the shorter tee pad. They will then play the best/worst drive (depending on round) in route to the white target.
We may add age protected divisions if people are interested in others. Need at least 3 teams to make a division. If a division doesn't make, they will be contacted by the TD.
