Alvin Charity Open presented by Alvin Noon Lions Club / Gorilla Disc Golf- Driven by Innova

Gorilla Disc Golf has teamed up with Alvin Noon Lions Club to bring you the Inaugural Alvin Charity Open !!!
The Lions Club will have their supporting organizations out in full force to welcome players to the city.
They will be providing a FREE lunch for all players from one of the top restaurants in the Alvin area !!!

SCHEDULE-
PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN BETWEEN 7:30-8:30am
Players meeting 9-9:15am
1st round Shotgun start- approx 9:30am
Lunch-All players receive 1 hour from when last card is turned in (from both pools) before start of 2nd round
Games to follow the 2nd round,
Awards/games/payout soon after.


ALL players will play 21 holes each round, the regular 18 hole course with 3 temps, same layout both rounds.
A pool (All PRO, MA1, MA40, MA2) will play as 5 player cards and play LONG hole 4
B pool (All other divs) will play as 4 player cards and play short hole 4

COURSE RULES-
ACO General Rules:
Paths and beyond are OB unless otherwise stated in hole specific rules. Water in ponds or ditch is OB.
Beyond any fence is OB. (2 Meter relief from barbed wire)
Painted line (where present) is OB and supersedes waterline.
LOST DISCS- a disc is declared lost if it cannot be located within 3 min after arriving at the area it is thought to be. For pace of play, please start the clock as soon as all players are assisting. I will STRONGLY suggest players help each other watch shots and send spotters forward where appropriate.
Hole Specific Rules:
Hole 1 - Water in ditch is OB.
Hole 3 - Walking path and beyond NOT OB.
Hole 4 - Water in pond is OB. Play from where last in-bounds.
Hole 5 - Water in ditch is OB. Path and beyond is NOT OB.
Hole 6 - Water in ditch (left) and beyond is OB.
Hole 20 - Mando. Disc must pass left of marked tree. DZ or re-tee. Water in small "cat-tail" pond is OB.
Hole 21 - Water in big ditch is OB. Any water left of pin in small ditch is casual.It is our goal and intent to get you guys in and out as efficiently as possible while providing a great tournament experience.

ENTRY FEE BREAKDOWN / PAYOUT SCHEDULE-
$5 from each entry will benefit Alvin Noon Lions Club and "Project Sight Conservation" charity, helping put glasses on less fortunate children.
$2 Gorilla series fee benefitting GHDGC B-tier
$3 PDGA fee
ALL AM players will receive a $10 voucher to Gorilla pro shop, this is deducted from entry.

MOST Payout will be traditional, performance based payout and follow PDGA guidelines EXCEPT NOVICE DIVISION
Top 40% Pro
Top 45% Am
NOVICE DIVISION will play for trophy only, all NOV DIV players will receive entry fee value in vouchers.

There WILL BE ADDED TO CASH TO BOTH PRO AND AM DIVISIONS (see above!!!)

THIS WILL BE A RAIN OR SHINE EVENT
Briscoe can get muddy after a rain, we will run unless its REALLY BAD and just not feasible as we need to respect the course as it grows in. In that case, refunds will gladly be issued, minus minimal PayPal and dgscene transaction fees. Alvin Parks will be out several weeks before hand doing everything they can to make this the best experience possible.

Payout/vending will be handled by Gorilla Disc Golf mobile pro shop.

GDG refund policy-
GDG will refund any player in full (minus registration fees) if requested by email more than 72hrs before the start of event check-in.
GDG will refund any player in full (minus reg fees) up to 16hrs before check-in ONLY IF we can fill the spot.
ALL drops within 16 hours of the event- players will receive entry fee value in merchandise at vendors convenience.
No shows forfeit entry fees.
