This event is open to the public. There are no residency requirements. C'mon out, play and have some fun (no matter where ya live). The field is limited to about 12 teams (exact number still being worked out). Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Folks, temper your expectations. This is not the Ledgestone Open - no $180 entry fee, but also no super-awesome swag like that event offers.
Instead, this is a first-year non-sanctioned tournament by a first-time TD by a club that, as of Jan. 1, is going into eighth month of existence. So please, try and be patient, kind and enter the event and arrive with the full expectation of meeting new friends and enjoying a couple of rounds.
Play begins at Central Assembly of God in Cumberland. 21 holes (short 12 baskets, long 9 baskets). After a 90-minute break for lunch-on-your-own in the area, players will travel to Mile Lane Disc Golf in Mount Savage for Round 2. Layout is "tournament" layout - 12 short, 12 long.
Entry is $25 per player. We hope to have divisions for Male/Female/Mixed in Advanced, Rec and Youth, but that depends on how the field fills out. If you want to register as an individual and we can help pair you up, go ahead and register and then contact the TD (301-338-4533).
We will have some CTPs during the day, and a distance contest (no extra cost).
This event is a fundraiser for the Allegany County Disc Golf Club as the club looks to support the county's first public disc golf course which aims to open for play in 2023.
There are no refunds issued for any reason other than military deployments.
