First event of the 2023 Monthly Tournament Series at the Oasis!
This event will be sanctioned.
Iron Turtle Disc Golf is the Premier Sponsor for this event.
We can't make any guarantees on snow-free or mud free course conditions for the tournament but the current conditions at the Oasis are very playable with no snow on the course as of 1/5/23. We will be watching the weather closely over the next week but won't cancel unless travel or playing conditions are deemed unsafe.
There will be fires to warm up around!
There has been some mud in places on the hill due to freezing and thawing. The ice/water puddling and muddy areas are easily manageable with reasonably waterproof hiking shoes. There is some slick mud around the tees that we will be covering with bark before this tournament but it has still been playable. The tee pads are clean, though still temporary and some are not as flat and smooth as we would like but we are working on more permanent tees as a priority.
At this time, and through the extended forecast the weather looks variable but reasonably nice for this region and this time of year.
We have moved a couple baskets slightly to minimize course destruction from heavy traffic and reduce the need to walk through mud.
Big awards ceremony to follow at the end of the year. Points for attendance, ranking, aces and more.
The following monthly tournaments will be planned for the first weekend of each month.
Pass-through fees that are included in the registration are:
$15 for day pass/green fees + $5 for additional costs that are necessary for for the course to host a sanctioned tournament.
$5 for porta potty cleaning and bathroom supplies and TD/sanctioning cost.
