(this is a GDGO fundraiser event I am only posting this under "Team Alexander" because thats the only way I can access the tourney page)
This is an annual fundraiser event for the GDGO. Payouts are not huge, but the funds are put to good use and the tournament is a blast! Here are some of the things the GDGO was able to accomplish because of last year's tournament.
• Purchase and install a practice basket at Alexander Park!
• Obtain and install distance markers for the Alexander Practice Basket
• Purchase and install distance markers for the Lenora Practice Basket
• Buy materials and construct Lost and Found boxes (now installed at both parks)
• Sponsor a recycle bin for Alexander Park
• Installed broom holders at Alexander and Lenora Park
Tournament info:
2 Rounds of 18 Holes at Alexander Park in Lawrenceville, GA
Field limited to 90 players
Check-In 7:30 – 8:30 AM
Players Meeting 8:30 AM
1st Round Tee-off 9:15 AM
One hour Lunch (after last card finishes)
2nd Round Tee-off: TBD
Jr & Women red tees
Rec - Pro blue tees
Entry Fees:
JR : $20
REC : $25
INT: $30
ADV: $30
PRO: $30
pay out will be 1/3 of each field( PRO cash and AM grease dollars)
Side Action:
Ace pot: $2 (full payout)
CTP : $2 (full payout)
Side Events:
Big Arm (Distance) competition:
Five dollars gets you 3 throws. The 5 individuals with the longest throws will get 1 last throw for the trophy and bragging rights.
Accuracy Throw-off:
One dollar per throw, or 5 throws for 4 dollars. The 5 individuals with the closest throws to the pin will get 1 last throw for the 5 prizes. Closest will get first choice, 2nd closest will choose next, etc.
Putting Contest:
Five dollars gets you 3 putts from each location, first from 10 feet, then increasing by 5 feet for each additional putt. All putts must be thrown within 100 seconds. 1 point is awarded for each made putt. This will be a 50/50 contest.
Disc Stalker also donated a Innova Travel basket for a raffle prize!
