About this tournament

Alberta Open 2026
Welcome to the 2026 Alberta Open! After a few years hiatus, it is back, bigger than ever! Everyone is welcome to play, and the 2026 Alberta Open is a C Tier, meaning a PDGA membership is not required to play, however non-members will be charged an additional $15 during registration.

Courses
We will be using the Strathmore Disc Golf Course and the Four Sisters Disc Golf Course. All non-Junior divisions will play three rounds. Some players will do two rounds at Four Sisters, some will do two rounds a the Strathmore Disc Golf Course

Times are subject to change until Wednesday, June 17th.
Practice Rounds
Four Sisters: Practice Rounds are available for $10 per day. Drop in any day on the week leading up to the tournament, payment via e-transfer (see QR code)
Strathmore Disc Golf Course: Holes 1-3 are NOT available during school hours (prior to 3:30 PM) on weekdays. Please avoid holes 1-3 during school hours.
Divisions
2026 Alberta Open is open to all skill levels. Division sizes may be increased/decreased based on registration. If you don’t see the Division you would prefer to play in, please let the Tournament Director know. If your preferred Division is full, please join the waitlist.
Waitlists
We will be using waitlisting to manage registration and Division size. Waitlist fee is $10.
Pools
A pool: two rounds at Four Sisters Disc Golf Course and one round at Strathmore Disc Golf Course
B pool: two rounds at Strathmore Disc Golf Course and one round at Four Sisters Disc Golf Course
A Pool - All pro divisions, MA1, FA1, MA40
B Pool - ALL other divisions
Some divisions may be subject to change of Pool depending on the number of registered players.
Some divisions may be removed if there are no registered players in that division within one week following the opening of regular registration. Some divisions with fewer than 4 players may be collapsed with the exception of female, junior and senior divisions.
Fees
Amateur Fees: $75
Pro Fees: $95
Pass Through Fees Include:
$10 - Four Sisters Course Fee
$5 - PDGA / course portable washrooms
Optional Fees:
Ace Pot: $5
Ace Pot will be shared by all players who score an Ace. If no aces are scored, we will draw from participating players for half the Ace pot, the other half will go to Strathmore Food Bank.
Pro Payouts will be sent following the completion of the tournament via PayPal.
Player Pack
Player pack will consist of a custom disc and custom apparel, and will be worth in excess of the player fees, less pass through fees. Player packs are available for pickup at the Players Party only. This is a true amateur event, and trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each Division. Pro players may opt to purchase custom disc and custom apparel at the players party.
Players Party
2026 Alberta Open will be hosting a player party after the second round on Saturday, location TBD. There will be multiple activities and vendors onsite, along with food and drink options. Player packs can only be picked up at the Players Party.
Players Meeting
There will be a virtual players meeting Monday, June 15th, at 7:00 PM. It will be recorded, and any new details will be e-mailed to all participants. Link for the players meeting will be in the schedule.
Awards
Division Amateur Awards will be done at the completion of the respective rounds on Sunday.
Camping
Camping is available at the Strathmore Ag Society campground. Bookings can be made at https://letscamp.ca/camps/strathmore-ag-campground
Saturday Lunch
Lunch will be available to purchase at Four Sisters Disc Golf Course on Saturday, or players may find many options within the Town of Strathmore.
Water
Water will be provided in large jugs at each course, please bring your own re-usable container.
