About this tournament
We are back again for the 6th Annual Bettie Murray Memorial. All proceeds from this tournament will go towards the Bettie Murray Memorial Scholarship, in honor of the late, great Bettie Murray. Any prizes handed out will be donations. Bettie had a kind soul who loved teaching and the scholarship has been set up in her honor, for Cecil College students looking for a profession in education. Last year we were able to raise $3,000 and this year we plan to grow that number!
THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS, however you will still receive a commemorative disc if you do drop out or are unable to attend. If you aren't 100% sure if you can make it, I suggest you wait and register at the event. We will absolutely be taking walk ups and will not be capping the number of players. This means that if there are a lot of players, there may be cards of 5 or 6. Once you pay money for this event, consider it a donation to the scholarship.
Players can donate new, unused disc golf related items (hats, discs, shirts, etc) to be used for prizes. As a thank you for donations, $5 back for registration fees will be given upon receipt of the item(s).
Due to a tornado earlier this year, we are unfortunately unable to use Calvert as the site of the tournament. However, 3 Creeks Disc Golf Course has graciously offered to host both the tournament and the after party.
This will be a one round event, but you are welcome to continue playing after the round is over. Since this is a benefit tournament, I have limited the number of divisions. The Novice division will be for people who do not play disc golf, or have only played a couple times, but still want to enjoy the fun, and donate to the cause. Please be respectful when signing up for divisions. This is a fun tournament meant to raise as much money as possible, so sandbagging a division will not garnish more or better prizes. There will be a special prize specifically for women, regardless of their division.
The player with the lowest score for the day will get their name on the famous disc that is hanging up at State Line Liquors!

Refund policy
Cecil County Disc Golf is responsible for all refunds/cancellations. Monetary refunds will not be awarded for this event. If you were eligible for a disc and have decided to withdraw from the tournament, you will still receive your disc.
