This is the 5th annual white raccoon Xmas throw down and we’re so happy to be once again raising money and awareness for Mental Health America of Licking County’s Y.E.S. Club. It is an amazing after school and summer program that gives kids in licking county a safe place to be, a meal, mentorship and are also getting the kids involved in community service. It is a wonderful program providing a much needed service for the youth in the area and in the community in general. It doesn’t get the attention that big brother/sister or Salvation Army but need it just as badly. We are happy to do whatever we can to help such selfless individuals.
The tournaments player’s pack will be handed out in a white elephant style.
The 3 discs will be different for everyone. The first round is played with your own discs to decide picking order for the player's pack. Each pack will consist of 3 discs that may all be the same brand or may not. There will be a putter, mid-range, driver ish combo. They come in a box and you can only see the top disc. You decide whether to steal the box from the person ahead of you or get a new box from the pile. You will then have to play the 2nd round with those discs. There will definitely be some gems. Only the 2nd round counts towards placement (winning 1st,2nd or 3rd place), ace fund and ctps.
Raffle, long drive and putting contests will be after the 2nd round in that order.
Hocking Hills Disc Golf will once again be sponsoring the event and set up on site all day for all of your material disc golf needs! NinnieDog's Morethandogs will also be back with all the food and drinks you’ll need to stay warm and fueled. So come on out and show them some love even if you don’t want to play the round!
Don’t be afraid of the weather, come on out and make a change in someone’s life, just by playing disc golf!
This is, by far, my favorite event of the year, come be a part of the shenanigans! I can’t wait to see you out there!
